The softkey works fine even if it doesn't display "Contacts" so what is the big issue?

I'm aware of that. But without the visual reminder, I will eventually forget it's there. Plus, call me nutty, but I just like stuff to work correctly. If you are happy clicking blank space where a text reminder is supposed to be, then fine.
