Ridiculous analogy.

You're equating the Mogul with a Ferrari, a machine that is perfecly focused on performance.

The Mogul is more like a 4x4 truck that thinks it's a race car, is constantly opening and closing its own windows and doors when you're not around, suddenly accelerates to 80mph and then stops when you jsut want to go 50, and guzzles gas lik a hummer. It's not as fast any sports car, and it can't handle the full load a real 4x4 can.

I think that's a lot more accurate.
Much better analogy except you forgot that it's also priced like a race car.

When will the suckers understand that HTC is a crap company? If not for the xda-like community, WM devices would all be pure and utter garbage. The 6600 and its bugs were abandoned, the 6700 and its bugs were abandoned, the 6800 and its bugs will be abandoned and so will the Touch. Just don't be shocked when it happens.
The more shocking thing would be if you would stop bad mouthing the Mogul in every other post you make, if you're that unhappy then go back to a Treo.
Learn how to read or just stop posting here.
I did read, I read your posts where all you do is praise the Treo and rag on the 6800......no need to cry about it.

Simply ADAPT

i've owned ppc-6600, ppc-6700, and now ppc-6800

yes there are few things that they DOWNGRADE...but look on the bright side of the upgrades.

Also...if you dont like messing with this stuff...and seems like you really dont need it...you shouldnt have gotten it in the first place

If the phone is smarter than it's owner, it usually isn't a good thing. You're probably better off sticking with an old bag phone or something. That way you don't have to worry about anything else. It just keeps it real simple and the battery life is excellent when you carry around a 50 lbs battery hooked to your phone.

I ended up with a plaino cheap phone for about two days while I was waiting for my 6800 to arrive. Funny thing is the loaner phone had much worse phone performance than the 6700 or 6800. In one day I had about 6 dropped calls, and miserable reception and deplorable battery life. I just can't remember which model they gave me. Anyway, since this thread is already meaningless, I'm sharing a picture of that phone to see if anyone can identify it.

When you say "switch over", do you swap ESN & phone number, or have a second number assigned to the second phone? Or forward primary number to second phone? (I remember Sprint used to have a way to swap ESN's yourself via website, but I can't find that page now).

TIA

The same should be done here. Too many people get defensive after dropping huge $$ on their phones.

I got the same loaner phone a few days back, but I don't remember having to put any battery in it. However, I do agree that the reception was horrible....
