The OP's post clearly indicates the need for people to do their homework and identify what they want their phone to do and be. E.g. his #1 "Simplicity" means he could have stopped right there and decided the Titan is not the right choice. #4 "Light", #10 "Free" are both obvious confirmations that the Titan is not the right choice.

For me, needs/wants are - latest toy, lots of features, email, web, larger keyboard, lots of memory. Kind of in that order. "Latest toy" means I'm willing to tolerate growing pains. I am using 6800 more as a small computer than a phone nowadays (and think the 6800 (except for the abominable, atrocious BT audio) is a big improvement over my 6700).

To the OP - you clearly chose the wrong phone for your needs. I sincerely hope you're happy with your current phone!

One last comment on this thread:

I always find it interesting that people feel the need to justify their decision by questioning other people's choices. I have a Ford Explorer for hauling people & stuff and driving in snow, and a BMW Z3 for going fast in nice weather. Neither is right or wrong, or the "best", or necessarily the right choice for other people.

I have a Ferarri F50 that I'm not happy with. I'm going to return this piece of crap car and return it for the following 10 reasons. I think I'll save my half-a-million dollars and stick with the $25k chevy pick-up truck base model that the dealer offers.

1. This Ferarri just doesn't haul sheets of plywood.
2. The maintenance is outrageous. An oil change costs over $500!
3. I can't find a roof-rack to fit my canoe and skis.
4. It just doesn't work to pull my boat.
5. The stupid F50 doesn't have room for my family when we're going to dinner.

*****

OK, you get the point. Is the Ferarri really a piece of crap, or did I just purchase the wrong device for my application??? I think the answer is clear.

Yeah return it, nobody should have a phone that's smarter than themselves, and that appears to be the case since every reason you listed is either B.S or easily solved. (with the exception of bluetooth)

If that M300 ends up being too complicated you can always trade it in for a couple of tin cans and string, but you need to learn to count 1 to 10 correctly first.

This guy is a shock jocky, he prolly never owned a 6800 to begin with, theres no way someone would spend atleast 300 dollars on a device is not try to figure out how to use it

to me, this is the best phone/all in one i can get, the only thing i wouldnt wait another year for and swap my mogul in for is the e90, if it came to sprint, other wise, the next phone i'll have is the 6900

and the argument for simplicity just goes to show he shouldnt have gotten this phone to begin with

Me and some of my friends have the mogul and we will all be getting rid of it for good! This phone has been nothing but stress and unecessary trouble. I have NO programs installed on the phone at all and still the battery lasts nothing, the bluetooth is the worst ever, dailing a number is SO hard to do while driving or on the go, and its so sluggish and heavy.

So, I am temporarly replacing my Mogul with a Samsung M300. Yes, the M300 is a free phone.

I will give you why the Samsung m300 is so much more better than the mogul...

1. Its simplicity!!! just like what HTC is trying to do with the Touch witht he menus...
2. The bluetooth signal is strong and loud
3. I dont even have to look at the keypad to type a number and i dont have to repeatedly bang on it like i do on the mogul
4. Its very light and attractive
6. It never lags at all or requires a restart
7. It never misses calls at all!!! the mogul is always avoiding calls....
8. you dont have to worry about your phone secretly calling people while its in your pocket or in the case (because the screen rubs up on anything causing programs to open and people being called)
9. Accessing everything on the phone is simple and T9 text is a breeze!! (texting on the mogul was a pain because it always froze!!)
10;. Best of all, its free and its easily replaces because of that fact.

So, I would like every mogul owner to consider my proposal and loose that complicated problematic piece of you know what mogul and TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SIMPLICITY AND SECURITY.

I will be going back to pocket pcs in the future when the treo 800p comes out but for now, no more htc devices.

thanks,

Michael

i tottaly AGREE 1000000000000000000% I DID THE SAME

sorry guys i am no noob to the windows mobile but the mogul is REALLLLLLLLLLYYYY BUGY even the sprint tech said so after i changed SIX YEA SIX OF THEM in a month i was a lot more happier with the apache never had the issues that i did with the mogul

Ridiculous analogy.

You're equating the Mogul with a Ferrari, a machine that is perfecly focused on performance.

The Mogul is more like a 4x4 truck that thinks it's a race car, is constantly opening and closing its own windows and doors when you're not around, suddenly accelerates to 80mph and then stops when you jsut want to go 50, and guzzles gas lik a hummer. It's not as fast any sports car, and it can't handle the full load a real 4x4 can.

I think that's a lot more accurate.
