Sounds like a great volume fix. But I don't understand or know how to do the programming. If I wanted someone to do this for me, what do I need to ask them to know if they are capable of doing this? Or what type of tech would be able to do this for me? I'd really love to have the volume louder on my Mogul. Thanks.

You just download one of the AudioPara files and rename it to AudioPara.csv.
Then you copy it to your windows folder and overwrite the file (make a backup of the original if you wanna be able to undo it). Then do a soft reset. I did it with the "coarse" setting since people seem to say that has the best results. |

I used the "coarse" settings which allowed me to set my phone volume to 60%, instead of maxed. It gives me the option of going louder if necessary.... excellent fix.

Would this also work with the 6700? I passed my 6700 to my wife but I'm sure she won't want to use it if the volume is as bad or worse than the Mogul (which it is).

I have a question......once you download the preferred files to your phone, what might happen if Sprint provides an updated volume patch? Because the file name is changed, what conflict might occur?
Also, did you all download both the coarse files for phone and speakerphone? What file name should be assigned to the speakerphone file so that it works for the speakerphone? Does your speakerphone sound much louder once the download is installed? Thanks. |

I get the feeling you don't quite understand how this works so I'll start from scratch for you... 1. In your Mogul's Windows folder you have a file called AudioPara.csv 2. Copy/Paste this file on your PC and rename it AudioPara_Original.csv 3. Download AudioPara.csv_coarse_ear_extended_speaker.txt and rename it AudioPara.csv 4. Copy/Paste the new AudioPara.csv file you just renamed to your Mogul's Windows folder. 5. Congratulations, you now have a louder Mogul. No file name has changed and even if Sprint updates the AudioPara.csv file and this update doesn't improve anything, simply recopy the file you just renamed back to your Mogul. |
