Doing a hard reset will never change the ROM version of the phone. If you saw those numbers than i guess your phone had some modified files on it that made it look like it was running that version. All a hard reset does is clear the user area though so it goes back to it's ROM state. That is probably why you aren't noticing much.

Oh well yes he did. There is no way for that to happen, that is why they are called ROMs (Read Only Memory). If your device came with the v2.14 ROM (which isn't even available for Sprint) and you peform a hard reset, then the ROM version would still be v2.14 - unless some files were modified only to make it look like it was running v2.14, as mentioned before.

Well, like I said happened did happen. I may not be a PPC "geek" but I am computer savy and I know what I saw. So I'm taking it as one of two things, my phone was previously owned and they were fucking with it OR I somehow managed to get a program that would change that for whatever reason it may. ::shrugs:: Ohhh well!!

Wasn't this ROM supposed to have broken the hardware keyboard in Windows Live?
I just got my Mogul today and my keyboard works fine... it came stock with this ROM. |
