Good call, gonna try this as a test run today and see what my battery is left at after work.

I would have assumed IR was disabled by default (if HTC is out there listening...)

Well that definitely made a noticeable difference.

I went down to 40% battery after 9 solid hours of being logged on to IM+ in a low signal area and actively chatting some of the time with push email turned on.

That's a lot better than going down to 20% battery not doing anything on the phone at all.

my battery life was really random for a few weeks till i noticed that when i charge it on my computer it would ether charge slow or not at all even when i used some other mini usb chargers i have the same thing or it would say 100% but drop to about 80% in under a hour with no usage

but when ever i use the charger it came with it would charge quick and stay strong all day maybe that could be the issue some of you are having

Mine is completely random it seems. I wake up at 6AM and take my phone off my charger, I get home at about 5PM and on some days I'm at 80% other days 20%. Nothing changes in the way I use my phone, I don't make phone calls at work, the most I do is occasionally is check emails and that doesn't seem to make the difference.

I use X-Button and HTC Home Kaiser..... nothing beyond that really.

battery life

I recently replaced a dead mogul and kept the battery from the old one so I now have 2. Long story short I get dramatically different battery life with the 2 batteries in the same phone with the same settings. The old battery will last well over 24 hours and have 30 - 40% left the new battery dies on me after about 6-8 hours. Makes me think it's the battery not the phone or the running apps.

I haven't added any programs, or made any changes within the last three weeks. Suddenly, things started going responding very slowly.

Even with all programs closed, the battery started heating up in my pocket. After a full charge today, the battery went completely dead after 4 hours on standby and 1 phone call.

No Bluetooth, no internet. 1 phone call. Dead in four hours.

I'm in the hate phase of my love/hate relationship with the Mogul.

My battery life went up insanely after applying the Weatherpanel auth fix.

So that was definitely causing some major problems.
