Battery problem

Have had Mogul for a few weeks - the first week, the batery seemed fine and would go days without a recharge but now it is only holding a charge for a day or so....am not running wifi, bluetooth or anything and very few calls - anyone else having this problem? I did buy a car charger and backup ac charger on web for cheap - info on the charging rates on ac charger are same as factory one, but is it possible that they are not shutting off when finished charging and overloading battery? Or will the phone in effect shut off the charge from coming thru if battery is fully charged?

The phone stops charging when it reaches 100%, and I don't think it charges again until you unplug and plug it back in. I'm not sure on that, though. I noticed the first couple days I had my phone, I had excellent battery life, but then again, I had it plugged into the computers at home and work a lot, downloading apps and stuff, so it was charging. Were you plugged into the computer a lot the first week?

No - not plugged in much

Was mostly using bluetooth to sync first few days....have let the battery drain to 0 and recharged but still have problem...

Not sure what it is then, unless you use it heavily, like I do. I'm on my Mogul pretty much all day, and my battery is pretty drained by the end of the day if I'm not hooked up to the computer at work.

very little use

No, I do not use it that much, that is why I am surprised at the life.....

What programs have you installed on your Mogul? Are you using a push client?

Usually the culprit for battery drains are BT or programs that access the internet on their own or scheduled intervals.

No Bt or Push

The only programs I have are SKtools, Spb pocket Plus, Slingplayer mobile, Mobile link satelite radio, google maps, macromedia flash, splash id

All I can say then is ensure that slingplayer and Mobile link radio are not running constanty, settings, system, memory. If they aren't then I would look into getting the battery replaced.

I have the same problem. I had a PPC6700 and if I turned off the wireless settings, it would use almost no battery after I turned off the device. Seriously, I could go a couple days and the percent power left would be virtually identical to what it was when I first turned it off.

That is not the case with the Mogul. It uses a ton of battery while off. I charged it to full power last night and did not use it at all for 24 hours (sat it on my desk) and now the battery is down to 60%! Something definitely seems wrong but I can't figure out what.

All I have installed that is "OS" oriented is the main Touch file for the Today screen, the Touch Media Player, and the beta of Wisbar Advance 3. I'm using the Comm Manager to turn off wireless by putting it in flight mode - which is pretty much was I used to do with my PPC6700. I also have my system's power settings to be thrifty when on battery (lower backlighting and 30 seconds to turn off - not that either should matter when I leave it untouched for 24 hours).

Any ideas?

Bad battery?

I emailed Sprint and they said to bring it in to a store and have them check it out....maybe a bad battery?
