This is infuriating

I've been a Sprint customer for a grand total of nine days now, and the only thing they did correctly was ship my phone quickly.

I signed up for the $50 1,250 minute plan, was told I could have the insurance plan for $6 a month and not $7, was promised unlimited SMS, and was told that while I'd be billed $399.99 for my phone (plus tax!), there'd be a rebate form in the box to give it to me for $288.99. I was also told that if there was no form, I should just go to the website for one.

Unsurprisingly, there was no rebate form included.

Worse, I was listed as having a $99.99 plan, with $7 a month insurance, and, big shocker here, "casual" SMS.

I emailed to deal with the incorrect billing, as this (and other) forums assured me I'd need to, and that was resolved quickly, though for some reason, they refused to honor the $6 insurance. Whatever, I wasn't going to do battle for $1.

Yesterday, though, I emailed to attempt to get the "rebate form" (would have been thrilled to just get the credit, of course) and instead got this:
Quote:
The current SERO rate plan is already a highly discounted rate plan and no other promotional pricing can be offered with this type of plan. Please contact the Point of Sale as I do not see a Mail-in-Rebate at this time.
So I've written back, carefully explaining how Sprint WAS the Point of Sale, how I was promised this pricing (I was), and how disappointed I am in their inability to get a single detail of my order correct.

We'll see what happens next, but this is ridiculous, and I AM afraid they'll just cancel my account. You know, I decided to go with SERO instead of the $99 eBay special because I knew it would save me something like $900 over the two years of the contract -- I was fully prepared to pay $399 for the phone, the $288.99 was a very pleasant surprise -- but now that I was promised it, I'm really mad that it seems to be impossible to actually GET it.

ETA: This just in:

Quote:
I sincerely apologize. This was an oversight on my part. I do not have the means of sending out a rebate form to you, but what I did today is issued a credit for the $111.00 on your account. You currently have a credit balance of $15.21.
Now I just need to deal with the fact they sent my first bill for $99 of service instead of the $49 of service I signed up for, and all will be well.

Ok my situation is a little different. I made the switch from nextel to sprint just to get this phone. at first they were tying to sell it to me for $474.99 because i am existing customer according to sprint and then I argued a bit and threatened to cancel. I spoke to some one in the cancellation department and they said I have to go through sprint migrations since i have a government account. Once I spoke to them, they gave me the phone for $399.99 with no activation fee and i was able to port my number.

Now how could i get a credit of $111 or the mogul for $288.99?

Boy, this is the exact kind of thing that Sprint is canning people for. Many people are saying that their cleaning house has only just begun. Be careful people. Consider yourselves warned.

Who do I e-mail? I'm happy for you to get a free phone and not have a cell phone bill. I-on the other hand, purchased the phone and will be paying my bill... all I want is a credit to reflect the current cost of the phone.

i got my phone for about $160

the day before the 6800 was released, a rebate that Sprint had for $100 expired. the next day when the Mogul was released, the rebate had changed to the 6700. i contacted ecare and told them about it and they said they would honor it, so they credited my account $100 for it.

EDIT....im not allowed to post the link to the rebate form because of my newbie status. anyone who needs it, PM me and ill give you guys the link

BTW....for anyone whos been trying to get the $111 credit, when you call Customer Service, go to the Retention department. ive found out that if you talk to someone in the retentions dept, they are always happy to apply credits for me.

I had a 2 year upgrade available to me, so I upgraded to a Mogul for the 399 and signed for 2 more years. I was already on a SERO plan, but Acct Services wont credit me. They claim that a memo went around saying no more.

Wouldn't I be eligible, since I had a 2 year upgrade and was already on SERO plan?

I got a question for you guys. I got my dad to put me on his account since he gets 33% off on each months bill. Ive had my # on his account for over 2 years i first bought a Moto Q for 338 since i was "upgrading" they only gave me 150 off. I then saw the mogul and called them to return the Q and pay the differance for the mogul so i forked over another 100 bucks. Anyone wanna help me out im kinda new to this pm me please! thanks

finally got my $110 credit the other day after over an hour on the phone. i talked to someone in the cancellation dept and they put the note to credit my account then transferred me to retentions where another lady was reviewing my account with a manager. luckily, they didnt see my corporate discount. they saw that i had an extra $75 in credits and wanted to deduct that from my $110, but i said this was not acceptable because that $110 was pretty much prepaid service and that the $75 was extra credits.

logged into my account today and saw my balance of $0 and extra $80 in credits. my other $75 should be here next month. looks like i got about 6 months of free service =)
