I've been a Sprint customer for a grand total of nine days now, and the only thing they did correctly was ship my phone quickly.
I signed up for the $50 1,250 minute plan, was told I could have the insurance plan for $6 a month and not $7, was promised unlimited SMS, and was told that while I'd be billed $399.99 for my phone (plus tax!), there'd be a rebate form in the box to give it to me for $288.99. I was also told that if there was no form, I should just go to the website for one.
Unsurprisingly, there was no rebate form included.
Worse, I was listed as having a $99.99 plan, with $7 a month insurance, and, big shocker here, "casual" SMS.
I emailed to deal with the incorrect billing, as this (and other) forums assured me I'd need to, and that was resolved quickly, though for some reason, they refused to honor the $6 insurance. Whatever, I wasn't going to do battle for $1.
Yesterday, though, I emailed to attempt to get the "rebate form" (would have been thrilled to just get the credit, of course) and instead got this:

The current SERO rate plan is already a highly discounted rate plan and no other promotional pricing can be offered with this type of plan. Please contact the Point of Sale as I do not see a Mail-in-Rebate at this time.

So I've written back, carefully explaining how Sprint WAS the Point of Sale, how I was promised this pricing (I was), and how disappointed I am in their inability to get a single detail of my order correct.
We'll see what happens next, but this is ridiculous, and I AM afraid they'll just cancel my account. You know, I decided to go with SERO instead of the $99 eBay special because I knew it would save me something like $900 over the two years of the contract -- I was fully prepared to pay $399 for the phone, the $288.99 was a very pleasant surprise -- but now that I was promised it, I'm really mad that it seems to be impossible to actually GET it.
ETA: This just in:

I sincerely apologize. This was an oversight on my part. I do not have the means of sending out a rebate form to you, but what I did today is issued a credit for the $111.00 on your account. You currently have a credit balance of $15.21.

Now I just need to deal with the fact they sent my first bill for $99 of service instead of the $49 of service I signed up for, and all will be well.
