Is Sprint still giving out refur'ed MOGULs?

mine was done over the phone. I never mentioned I wanted an exchange and the tech representative suggested it and asked a manager. they made me pay for shipping, which was 2 dollars. I didn't complain.

i had to take mine in to the nearest sprint repair store cuz the camera went out. they told me a replacement would be shipped out and arrive within 2-3 business days and that they didn't know what handset it would be. well i guess they still have moguls out here on the west coast cuz that's what i got yesterday. sux to be me i guess.

Today I placed a replacement claim on my mogul and tomorrow I will be shipped the touch pro...aw yeah! So I will tell you how I did it since I was still offered the mogul 2 times before this(adv. exchange and in-store)

I stopped by the sprint store again today and basically told them my phone was falling apart(which it is) and I would need a new phone or replacement. I was eligable for 150 off if i renew contract yea yea I know didn't want to do that but they kept pushing it. Then after 15 min of me saying no I said I have insurance can't I just get a replacement. Took her 10 min to believe me and checking in the computer to find it. She then says that I could get a free mogul replacement... I said you sure its the same model? She assured me it was, so I thanked her and left.

Drove 15 min to other sprint store which is also my repair center sprint/nextel store.

Talked to a new girl. Filled out a form. Took her five min to tell me the same thing but this time she handed me the asurion card with their number and told me I could do it through them and I would have to pay a 100$ deductable and I would probably get a newer phone. Called up the rep. She was very friendly said I would be getting Touch pro. I gave her my debit card number and she charged me 100$. It will be here tommorrow.

Dude you went through a lot of pain and trouble for nothing. You could have read the thread and saw for $100 you could have went through Asurion on the web and got you phone without going to Sprint store, repair shop, or even having to deal with the new girl ..lol. ...and yes, they would have still sent it over night it to you.

i go through advance exchange everyday and never get offered the TP. ive had the mogul to long

Same, just tried to get a replacement for the 6900 and they said they would send out a 6900.. I hit the cancel request button..

I'll wait till it really dies.

I just tried the online replacement and it said it would replace with another 6800. I guess I will check later. I was hoping to get upgraded but if the keys continue to stick and not function I will have to make do with a replacement mogul.

I think the advanced exchange phone you get is based on the zip code you enter. ie different warehouse availability in different parts. Can people who have recently received touch pros post the zip code they entered on second screen of Advanced Exchange?

I don't think they even have that option for entering your zip code anymore, lol. You put in your phone number and passcode and go on with your claim. My guess is you guys will be waiting months and months while still using your "defective" phones hoping for a free upgrade...
