Just given yall an update
It took some work and for one of the Verizon People to get real nasty with me to get enough ammo to tackle the touch pro
But I got it, Not free though, Cost $50, but hell $50 compared to the $500 for an upgrade is well worth it
It will be here wensday

Can you elaborate a little more? I was told if my third replacement was faulty I would be able to get a different device. Well the third replacement has a bad henge so I called in. I asked about what the rep told me and she said that was wrong. She gave several reasons I couldn't get a different model (ie. that's how I got my 6800 and not in contract). So they are sending me a fourth replacement (to the wrong address again....). Any help on how you got them to do this would be appreciated!

Oh it took some work, They tried to tell me the same thing, I actually went through asurion at first, they couldn't do anything for me because they don't even have the touch pro in yet.
So I called Verizon, told them of how horrible I was treated by one of their reps, about how I have had to call them 4 times about the A-Key since I got the phone in August of '08, and how I was over 2 hours late to a job, which cost my company money, because of this issue, She was extremely sweet, in fact if I knew where she was I probably would have asked her out, LOL
Anyway she talked to tech support first, they told her the exact same thing they told me, just as rude too, so that ticked her off, and she went to her supervisor and was able to authorize me for a free upgrade to the Touch. I told her that if possible I'd like to get the TP because of the keyboard, so she talked to her supervisor again and let me know that she could but couldn't do it for free, it would cost $50
I was like yeah I guess that's ok... In reality I was as happy as could be, $50 for a $500 phone is a great deal

So did you get your Touch Pro?

Update on my situation. Got my 4th replacement (according to VZW) 5 by my count and it came with a huge bright spot on the bottom left corner. Which is odd because none of the other replacements had one.... I guess I'm going to try my luck at CSR roulette once again.

Yep playing with it right now
It's Soooo cool
Even with the limited ram, it's an improvement over the Titan
But I do recommend wiping the default rom and flashing a custom

Yeah the white spot is another foot in the door for you to complain about the 6800. I just sent in mine to be replaced by yet another 6800. This will be my third replacement, and it will probably have the white dot just like my others. Hopefully I will be able to talk some sense into the folks at verizon like native did. I will post here once I get my replacement and make that call.

Congrats on your new TP native, you are an inspiration to us all!!
