I don't know how to change the BT channel. If I go into the registry under local machine\software\microsoft\bluetooth\device - - I think that might be it.

I made that change in the registry - not sure if it was the right way to change the channel. I also made some other changes in the registry. I won't know for a few more days if I've solved anything as the choppy calls are random.

Sprint's website about this issue getting a lot of hits.

I wanted to thank those for posting what headsets you are having trouble with - I think it is growing clear that it probably isn't the headsets that are the problem but some of the moguls seem to be having the issue. http://forums.buzzaboutwireless.com/...&thread.id=679 seems to be the fastest changing thread on Sprint's web page. Granted that isn't much since their own forum doesn't get much action but it is good that Sprint seems to be taking it seriously because people are actually reporting issues.

HS850

HS850 Connects great. Problem exists here and acts the same with/without voice command 1.6 and many other small apps installed. If my phone has direct sight of my headset it's perfect, if I place my phone on the other side of my body it begins to crack and break up. My fatness disrupts bluetooth... wow.

This is the _only_ cause (maybe not ROOT cause) I see.

Sorry - I should have reported back. The reg hack I made did NOT solve the issue, I was just really hoping it did solve something. I was just luck after the hack and had a whole day of no one bitching about not being able to hear me- sure enough within three days - every call was what? What did you say? And yes my headset and phone were fully charged when this occured.

And for anyone curious during that time, I did not sync any BT devices, connect it to a PC via BT, search for BT devices, install any software, use up storage space. It just stopped working. I close all my apps so I wasn't hogging memory.

I may have turned on and off BT during that time - can't recall as BT shuts off when batteries get low.
