yeah, and thats only good for recipients that have a data plan for their phones. Otherwise that link you just sent them is either 1) worthless or 2) going to cost them money in casual data usage.

For example, my mother has alltel... no data plan.....but has the picture messaging option. The link is worthless on her phone.

I did say it required that the recipient have the ability to browse the internet. However, it is not completely useless if she has a computer with internet access. Though, I would imagine that since you know that her carrier is Alltel, you could use the email-to-MMS method for sending pictures to her and she will get them as an MMS message.

ps: I just found this site which claims to be able to process MMS messages to any carrier...I have not researched it and make no recommendation about it.

does anyone know how to trick the heading in the protocal? To me the way it sounds is that sprint is getting a message that its an mms text and blocking it. If they can trick it so that its a another phone type that could work unless the check the ESN number. I could be way out on left field with this idea.

Im being a spam whore tonight... but im only posting this in two places in ppc geeks.

Send these guys an email, let them know how you feel. Be sure to let them know it DID work... we DO pay for it, and it works on the same phone with every other carrier. Provide links to sprintusers, buzz about wireless, and here.
