That worked. I guess I was just too impatient: that was the main thing I wanted from those four icons and I'm happy to get rid of them. Thank you!
I included a screenshot of my Today screen which shows the battery icon in the bottom right corner since PerfectHybrid had asked for one. (I had to attached it inside a .zip folder because I am not yet allowed to post urls which is the method of posting images on this forum). EDIT: I have taken the attachment down as stroths has posted the screenshot below. |

Thanks for helping stroths!
I like this icon better than the default four icons that were on the Today screen. I like to see the battery status on the Today screen and this is a better alternative to me. I would be interested in getting that icon to the top as well though. I haven't found anything on my own in the registry that would enable us to do that, hopefully someone will find something. |

Landscape view by default.
Anything I can do to get the screen to display in landscape view by default? I would like the screen to stay in the position that it goes in when you open the keyboard, no matter if the keyboard is open or shut.

@stroths: There has to be a way to extract a single battery meter to be on top, next to the EVDO icon. SmallMenu Plus has its own, and when I enabled to test it, it worked. However, SmallMenu Plus is worthless to me without the ability of mapping it to the Start key.
@dnthomps: Go to Start - Settings - System Tab - Screen and change the orientation of your screen there.

Add me to list for a battery icon in the top bar. I really like the one thats included with iLauncher that creates a thin meter across the top bar, but it appears to be slowing the phone down a lot, and there's always a few second delay for it to display when the phone wakes up.
