@thedam

Are you using a custom dialer like the one from the HTC Touch? If so, that is the problem as I believe ## codes are disabled in it for some reason.

FIX THE SLOW RINGER

To do this, you will need your MSL, which only Sprint (or your provider) can provide you. Open up the phone app and dial ##778# (PST). You will be asked to enter your MSL. Enter it, and you will be brought into the provisioning of your phone. From the top left, select Modem Settings. On this page, your Slot Cycle Index (SCI) is how often your phone polls the tower for incoming calls, etc. This value is 1.28 seconds multiplied by 2^value (i.e 0=1.28 secs, 1=2.56secs) with 0 fastest, 7 slowest. The default is 2, but lowering it to 1 hasn't noticeably affected my battery life, and roughly 2.5 second (SCI 1) response time is far more reasonable than roughly 5 seconds (SCI 2)
##778# Does nothing for me.. Is it because I am using the Touch dialer or am I just doing something wrong. I press that sequence and nothing happens. It doesnt even give me an opportunity to enter my MSL code.
The TOUCH dialer disables # codes and many other things. It's been disucssed on pdaphonehome and I believe someone is looking to port this over to our phone.

for using ## codes on a dialer you would have to do it manually, using epst and adding a argument line to it. I got this chart from someone else who made it and has the codes, dmrouter.exe and fieldtrial.exe are in windows folder and can be run without any arguments. EPST needs commands, i use resco explorer and go to "File" and then "Run" point it to epst and add the arguments without any quotations. I had to change my number so i used epst and added argument ##778.

Code Number Program Run on the Sprint 6700
##DIAG# 3424 "DMRouter.exe"
##DEBUG# 33284 "FieldTrial.exe"
#HELP# 4357 "EPST.exe #4357"
##PRL# 775 "EPST.exe ##775"
##DATA# 3282 "EPST.exe ##3282"
##PREV# 7738 "EPST.exe ##7738"
##AKEY# 2539 "EPST.exe ##2539"
##VOCODER# 8626337 "EPST.exe ##8626337"
##RTN# 786 "EPST.exe ##786"
##pst# 778 "EPST.exe ##778"

I know there is a program or a file out there that is out for the touch contact manager. It's similar to how the iphone set-up is in their contact. You can scroll through the contact list without the scroll bar. I was just wondering if there is a revision or a cab file for it yet? The last time I checked it was version 0.8 and it wasn't a cab file. Can anyone chime in and give us some info on this?

Where is this CAB file that you talk about? I've done multiple searches over the last hour and I have not been able to find it.

For everyone else: I can't get the reg. editor to install through Windows Mobile Device Center. Which CAB file from the editor program do I need to install as it looks like I won't automatically be able to do it through Add/Remove Programs and have to install it manually. There's like ten of them and I don't want to install the wrong one but there is no mention of which CAB file to install anywhere here. I'm going to assume it's one of the ones marked ARM, but which one as there are three of them.

Here is a request for you registry guru's. I tried to find it, but couldn't...

I'd like to make the size of the top and bottom info bars smaller. The top one with the start button, EV, time, etc...and the bottom one with the soft button headings.

If those were both about 20% smaller, that would give some more real estate for PIE/Opera/etc...

This edit allows you to see the duration of your Vision connection along with a button to disconnect it.
You see it in the bubble that is displayed when you tap the Vision icon.

Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Click ControlPanel
Click Phone
[at this point, the buttom grey status bar should read \HKLM\ControlPanel\Phone'
Click the bottom menu 'edit'
Select new dword value

Change the value name to "Flags2" (no quotes).
Select the 'hexidecimal' button.
Type 10
Click ok.
You should now see in the 'name/data' section:

Flags2 16 (0x00010)

When done, reset the device.
Im Trying to get the disconnect button added. I tried this edit twice in hex (10) and dec (16), and I still cannot get it to work. I get the vision duration but no disconnect button. Am I doing someting wrong?
