No Sound Through Earpiece Speaker

i dont think i can get insurance as i did not by the phone from verizion but i am getting some help on xda

I had the same problem but it turned out to be hardware, what I had to do was take apart my HTC. it can be done with a set of eyeglass screws, it wont be much use if you dont have a replacement part but I used an old HTC touch that was broken and frankenstiened the two together. it was not as hard as one would think, the parts are all snap in after the screws. maybe the phone was dropped I do not know, what I do know is after I put in the new speaker my phone has worked fine ever since. a good way to troubleshoot as see if your bluetooth and power lights are working correctly as well as your mail button and the internet button should glow white, if they do not then your speaker is not getting power and is either broker or the connection is not touching =.

was it the actual speaker that u replaced and was it soldered on. Cause the do sell a replacement board which is the speaker and the led

ans waiting 30 days with no speaker isnt much for good advice.. people ARENT looking for month long answers here..

well if your ebay dealer doesnt have a no refund policy advertised, by law hes required.. does he run a buisness through ebay?? threaten to file a complaint with the BBB against his company, see what that does too..

and OP you said thi didnt happen before 6.1.. if you just bought it at xmas, it came with 6.1 on it, if it didnt, you never told us to flashed it, that makes a difference too.. did u flash a custom rom or vzw's

this is why you dont buy products from ebay..
