I'm having a problem getting the HTC default plugin to work any longer. When I click on the htc_default.tsk it send me to the today screen setup but no longer puts that theme in there so that I can select it? Anyone know why this might be happening?

what program are u using to edit the theme of your ppc ... and u walk me through editiing please

Do a search for the HTC home plugin and download and install it.

Then search for HTC home customizer and download and install that.
That will enable you to change your clock to different kinds etc...

Download and install a basic plain black .tsk theme file.

Download and install SPB phone suite and configure to your liking.

Now for the weather, Indianapolis wasn't on the list for the weather, so I did a basic hack to add Indianapolis to the weather pane. As long as accuweather lists weather for your town you can add it. Just do searches on numerous forums to get all the programs listed.

Oh, and icontact, that is a freeware program that can be downloaded. It is cool, just swipe your finger and is scrolls through your contacts iphone style. to add it to the right softkey, i just downloaded a freeware applett that changes the softkey asignment. If you need anything else let me know.

Put the .tsk file in the root of your Storage Card or put it in your My Documents Folder. Then it should show up on in the Today Options.

ThemeGENCE is for creating themes not change the today screen. .tsk files only change the color of the bars and the background image. They do not add plugins to your today screen. For that, the best thing so far is the HTC Home Plugin. Do a search and you'll find either 3-6 tabbed versions and tutorials on home to get your local weather added to it. Also like it was previously mentioned, download the HTC Home Customizer 0.8b. It makes changing the HTC Home icons and colors much easier.
