no thats the thing its just sitting say on my bed or something and it will light up like someone sent me a txt but i see no notification. So far it hasnt done it since i did a hard reset. But it doesnt vibrate anyone when i installed the 67800 hacks program so i can disable the "sent txt message" but i think that program may be why it doesnt vibrate at all. Other than that its a beast of a phone, no i have to find good games for it and get a bigger memory card. It is confirmed that a 4 gig memory card works on this device right?

Mine will light up if I have it connected to my PC through the USB cable and I rub my feet along the carpet while my arm is touching the USB cable.

I tried it a few times and the phone lit up every time.

Damn static electricity!

it just does it randomly like now it lit up about 5 times and it was just sitting on my desk without any messages or anything coming through. Do you think its a defective unit, because my treo 700wx and my 6700 never did this.

haven't played with it too much but so far I love it. lightyears beyond my old 700wx.

Mine has done this a couple of times as well. The only time it does it is when I am driving in the car. I noticed it at night in a bad coverage area. I was thinking that it might be going in and out of service/roaming. Reading draghn post, it might be static, it was in the plastic cup holder of the car.

Retail stores are supposed to get them July 16th. Last week, the main campus store in Overland Park, KS stated that they would receive them this Thursday. I called Wednesday to ensure that was on schedule and was let down. So, I used Telesales.

I've played with the device a lot. I'm VERY excited to be able to replace my 6700, to say the least. I need to call and get my tracking number.

This makes me sort of confused...

I've had my 6700 for a little over a year now. I kept experiencing freezes when I turned my device on, so I took it to the store. They said, "Well, we have no idea what the problem is. All we can do is upgrade you to the Treo 700wx since the 6700 is no longer available."

"Hell no," I said. I told him that if I was to be upgraded that I wanted a Mogul since I've had to take this stupid 6700 in like 20+ times. Plus, the last replacement was all jacked up.

Anyway, they said that was fine, and that anyone with a 'messed up' 6700 could easily get a Mogul/6800. I call up there every couple of days and ask them if the 'Note' on my account is still there. Yesterday the rep told me, "Yes, sir. It seems that you'll be receiving a brand new Sprint Mogul on it's date of store release. However, you WILL have to turn in your old 6700..."

Is nobody else trying to get theirs like me?

Well, I ordered one and I hope it will come reasonably soon. Typical Sprint (semi) incompetence so far.

Ordered it online Sunday. Called Monday to see what "Order in progress" really meant. First call - no answer. Second & third calls - answered, hit 1 for order status, then forwarded to fast busy land. Fourth call - got through to a human being who seemed to know what she was doing. She put me on hold for a few minutes, came back, said it was really on backorder and couldn't tell me when that would change - maybe a couple of days. She was competent and helpful to the extent Sprint's systems constrained her.

So:
- Sprint couldn't tell me at point of order that phone was out of stock
- Online status after order should have said "Item on backorder, ETA xx/xx"
- Call center phone systems still flat unacceptable

With today's modern ERP order processing systems, and integrated call center telephony systems, it's just absurd...Sprint should be roundly embarassed.

Not really a rant - I expected it to be like this - just want to give prospective buyers some info.

UPDATE Monday: Went to their website to "Submit a Web Case", entered all the info, clicked 'submit'. Two minutes later, it timed out, losing everything I had typed. What a shock

UPDATE Tuesday: Submitted another 'Web Case'. Turns out Monday's case did get submitted in process of browser timing out.

UPDATE Wednesday: Get replies from Sprint re both Web Cases. First one says basically "thanks for writing, sorry about trouble, yes it's backordered, feedback like yours is what will help us achieve outstanding service" - seriously. Second basically says "yes we get a lot of calls, if you call from 6-10am you'll get through better, I can't help you online, so here's a phone # number" - same # I called originally. Neither reply answered my question about ETA at all. Still not upset - thinking about cancelling order and watching for new 6700 kitchen based on new HTC 3.3 release.

UPDATE Friday: Have a tracking number from Sprint, but it's not yet in UPS' system.

UPDATE Saturday: UPS has it on the way to me. ETA probably Tues.

UPDATE Monday: It arrived.

well it looks like im going to pick up my mogul tomorrow. geting it of someone from sprintusers. im driving like 1 and half just to pick it up. so happy lol.
