I am thinking about going to a corp store and complaining about the Mogul to try and get a 69 free and clear. They seem easier to handle than Tech support. Plus the manager at this store here was really nice, so was one of the clercks. IDK, every device has it's problems. Not to mention Verizon will be ten years late on the DIAMOND, I don't even wanna know how late on the TouchPro...
Yikes they don't have the Diamond yet. That sucks. Alltel even has a Diamond.

Re: Why does this phone get so unresponsive?

I am not surprised your friend at the VZW kiosk didn't know much about the Touch Pro or Diamond for VZW.. They are usually the last to find out about anything... If you want more info about the VZW Touch Pro or VZW Diamond, look in those forums and search for it.. I know of at least one thread about the VZW Touch Pro...

Touch Pro forum- http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=63

Diamond forum- http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=66

Your best bet to cure the unresponsiveness of your Mogul is to preform a Hard Reset on it... Usually cures sluggishness and minor issues in general... Please make sure you back up all your contacts, music, etc. before you do a Hard Reset. Sorry if you already know this... Some people don't think to and that causes them lots of issues.

Also, as to trying to get that store manager to replace your Mogul with a 6900? I wish you good luck with that.. I know of at least one thread that explains a possible way to get E-Care to replace your Mogul for a Touch Pro with only paying the $30.00 dollar differnece in MSRP.. I know it worked for me anyway.

Here is the thread-

a HARD RESET are you crazy. Just soft reset yo. At first I thought you meant soft reset but then you started talking about backing up your data. Thats just silly.

weedahoe is dead on.

Re: Why does this phone get so unresponsive?

A soft reset works- yes, I agree with you... But to cure all the issues, and so that they would not come back up after a short period of time, I thought a Hard Reset would be the answer. Plus, if the issue comes back after a Hard Reset, then the phone is defective.. A soft reset is a short term fix, in my opinion.

Oh... Yeah, I guess I am crazy. lol

my first suggestion would also be to soft reset...if problems accur then id ask what has installed lately or right before he noticed the sluggishness...and id suggest maybe he take those programs off and see if that helps...then id suggest that he install and run and clean-up program such as sktools...and if that still does no good then my last suggestion would be to hard reset....dang bro u went straight for the kill with the hard reset as ur first option...thats like watching SAW 5 without watching none of the others...
GOOD JOB REEG420...THATS WHY UR A MEMBER OF THE MILITIA LMAO

Talking Re: Why does this phone get so unresponsive?

Hahaha... No Reeg... I am not a tech for Sprint... Even though I been talking with them for so much I feel like I should be.. I know I went for the overkill, but I wanted to give a complete and total fix that would (hopefully) work, not write a tutorial on how to problem solve a Mogul.. In my defense, I clearly warned to back up his data... Its not like I was trying to have him kill his Mogul...

I am happy I could make you all laugh... You should hit the thanks button, since I did help you... Just not in a way that helps his Mogul problems

Yes, we all know the training level and support of CSRs. I used to do TS for BellSouth in thier DSL division. I started as L1 and then L2 then Sr T3 before going to QA where I worked that for 2 more yrs. I know all to well about what CSRs know and dont know and what trhey arent supposed to know. I used to do Supervisor Escalations and Presidential Interventions.

Do you think with over 2k posts I havent done that? LOL Go look over there and you will see some of my posts....LOL

The problem is NO ONE had any idea of WHEN VZW is going to drop it. But it is really no surprise because they anal raped us when the 68 came out. We were the last to get it. I would quickly change carries if it werent for the nice corporate discount (20% on plans and 25% on all hardware/devices/accessories) I get through my company.

Re: Why does this phone get so unresponsive?

Yes, if someone is looking for info on a Diamond or TP then normally they would look for it in that associated forum unless there is a cross-reference to it by some other means. But slow down. I see youve posted to almost everything out there today. Like my dad always says, Rome wasnt built in a day.
