Why does this phone get so unresponsive?

I am getting my Touch Pro on Tuesday, but could not resist finally asking this question.

Why does the keyboard and screen just become really unresponsive at times? Where you need multipile/hard clicks to make things work?

A soft reset does fix it, but it happens a lot, and it is really annoying.

Re: Why does this phone get so unresponsive?

Are you asking about the TP or 6800?

Re: Why does this phone get so unresponsive?

If its the 6800 you are talking about, its probably because it has such a low amount of RAM on board, so if you have lots of programs running, it causes the phone to slow down.

Re: Why does this phone get so unresponsive?

The 6800, that is why I asked in this forum.

I guess I could've made it more clear I have a 6800 now and am asking the question despite getting the TP on Tuesday, but I figured I asked in the forum and didn't have to.

Re: Why does this phone get so unresponsive?

Like was said earlier, it is likely the apps running in the background and how little RAM you have avail. It could be conflicting apps or corrupted databases. Could be a bad cooked ROM.

Re: Why does this phone get so unresponsive?

I close out all apps when done, and I'm running a Sprint rom. If there is anything wrong with that, the phone just sucks lol.

Just because the close the apps doesnt mean they still arent running in the background (which most do) and so you need to get a memory manager to terminate the apps and not just "close" them. As for the phone just sucking.......no....its just end user op errors......... j/k

Re: Why does this phone get so unresponsive?

Yeah, my phone actually locked up more when on offical ROM. But the lack of RAM on this phone makes me VERY MAD. Which is why I almost wanna go GSM and get a Touch. The CDMA Vouge has no WiFi so I can't live too well with out that. I might buy a data plan for my 6800 but I still couldn't use that as primary plan. I am thinking about going to a corp store and complaining about the Mogul to try and get a 69 free and clear. They seem easier to handle than Tech support. Plus the manager at this store here was really nice, so was one of the clercks. IDK, every device has it's problems. Not to mention Verizon will be ten years late on the DIAMOND, I don't even wanna know how late on the TouchPro...

Re: Why does this phone get so unresponsive?

Yeah, I went to Cicuit City yesterday and bought the new Gears of War 2 for my 360 and a new Onkyo 7.1 system (2nd one, still got the first and both are NICE) and have a good female friend who works the VZW kiosk and she says they havent even heard a wisper of the Diamond ot TP. Thats a damn shame.
