I got it a few days ago, but had been requesting it for weeks.
There have been many methods people have went to get the Pro, and mine was a bit different. I could have gotten a much much better deal if I wasn't honest. Asurion offered to ship me whatever the highest level Treo is for $50. I could have sold it along with my 6800 and still use the $150 credit that retentions had stated they would apply to a new phone. I would have come out with a Pro and couple hundred bucks extra. However, I turned down the Treo which I wasn't certain it would all play out so perfectly, and just called Sprint again and they said I could get the Pro for the cost of a new activation...I was entering the Sprint store and told him that to hold while I make the purchase to ensure it went smoothly. Well, it didn't, but because I caught him in an attempt to bullsh!t he was stuck having to honor the deal...lol.... so I'm selling my Mogul to help make the difference.
I suppose when all is said and done I'll have paid around $100 for the swap. But the time consumption and aggravation makes it possibly not all that worthwhile. Which is how they intended it all along...

Aah...I see now. But you said he had to honor it isn't activation only $30 something?

Yeah, either way, the time consumption and popping brain anneruisms may not be worth it...However that looks like one sweet little device.

Sorry, should have elaborated, the new activation cost of phone was around $300, which you would pay as a new customer signing a 2yr contract (which I didn't have to sign).

As for the TouchPro...yes...it is very very cool. I highly recommend it to those that will use it for it's abilities. The Hologram and Gsensor apps you have to see (and feel) to believe... The screen is just amazing...

lol.... Sprint had so much potential. It's a shame.
When they get bought out hopefully the new company will fire all the liars and hotheads and keep the intelligent trustworthy people in their place.

I really want to like Sprint. I really do. But I'm starting to think they are going in the right direction...

Ugh. I just did the dance again.

I called retentions and explained that this was the third Mogul I got, brand new, and it was experiencing problems and the white screen. I asked him if it was at all possible to get a different device at this time and he said sure! Then he said I had to pay for it. Yay!

Anyway, I tried explaining that every one of these phones I've gotten has functioned poorly in someway. And that offering me to pay for a phone (with a rebate I'd get as a new customer) was not much of a solution, as I had told every other rep. I asked if he would be happy with that option. He said, "If I were getting a phone with upgraded capabilities then I would be fine with it." Of course he would... He said I hadn't paid for any of the phones I've gotten so Sprint was helping me out by getting me those phones, and now helping me out by upgrading for $400.

I told him that paying for insurance every month is the same thing, because that's exactly what it covers. Then he said "We're not talking about insurance, we're talking about a new phone here."

This guy was seriously the most unhelpful tool I've ever met. My contract ends in two weeks, maybe I can get them to weaken in a bit more as that time approaches.
