Ugh. I just did the dance again.
I called retentions and explained that this was the third Mogul I got, brand new, and it was experiencing problems and the white screen. I asked him if it was at all possible to get a different device at this time and he said sure! Then he said I had to pay for it. Yay!
Anyway, I tried explaining that every one of these phones I've gotten has functioned poorly in someway. And that offering me to pay for a phone (with a rebate I'd get as a new customer) was not much of a solution, as I had told every other rep. I asked if he would be happy with that option. He said, "If I were getting a phone with upgraded capabilities then I would be fine with it." Of course he would... He said I hadn't paid for any of the phones I've gotten so Sprint was helping me out by getting me those phones, and now helping me out by upgrading for $400.
I told him that paying for insurance every month is the same thing, because that's exactly what it covers. Then he said "We're not talking about insurance, we're talking about a new phone here."
This guy was seriously the most unhelpful tool I've ever met. My contract ends in two weeks, maybe I can get them to weaken in a bit more as that time approaches.
