i can at least hope VZW gets the 6800 that looks like the Telus and Sprint model and not model that was leaked a while back with the uglier 9way pad. And why does PDAdb say nothing accurate about this phone?

As for EVDO Rev A, I have seen some promising speed test reports from people who have been able to try it using PC cards where it has been rolled out (I recall someone wrote that he found it to be indistinguishable from his DSL speed).
My current speed on the PC card from Sprint, supposedly in Rev-A area

do you have a specific REV A card? you will not get rev a speeds with last generations evdo cards from sprint.

my rev a speeds are around 1200-1800kbps/download and 800-1200kbps upload

(or about 150-200k/download and 80-150k upload)

keep in mind i'm in a crappy location that has many trees around me . in the city its much higher

hey lattisimo, have you had a chance to mess with the three today plugins for messages and Voicemail? Apparently the Telus p4000 does not have these and we were wondering how they functioned as compared to the standard message plugin from the 6700.

the today screen plugins are a bit disapointing. the voicemail one is just a shortcut to a clear voicemail notification. the one at the bottom with the icons is not configurable (atleast in an obvious mannor-have not looked into the reg yet). the Text Messaging and Email just take you to the poutlook compose new message screen.

i have had a chance to use threaded sms on the device. it seems to work well. if you try to send sms you get an error for wrong format once it uploads 100%. also after you install this the Text Messaging today plugin now takes you to a select account screen with options for SMS or MMS.

So.. SMS on this device. Is it the Crappy POUTLOOK, or is there a threaded application?
