Nice! (About posting using the 6800). Did PIE run any faster than on the 6700 for you?

To me it will be worth upgrading for the LED indicators for "CAPS" and "FN". that is the most annoying thing about my 6700 compared to my palm OS treos.

Although the smaller form factor is certainly an incentive as well.

So anyone have any info on the device being delayed until the 3rd quarter of 2007?

I haven't seen anything official, but there's a couple of posts at pdaphonehome, howard forums and sprintusers.

Over at PDAphoneHome according to some claimed sprint store owners, it is more a matter of a misunderstand of the communications from sprint. Apparently it is still a go for May 1st announcement. Launch on the 15th. Then in Q3 two events will probably occur: 1) a software Rev A and WM06 update for existing 6800 will be released 2) an updated phone with the new updates will re-launched.

Many of the stores are apparently already starting to receive promotional materials for the 6800. With sprint anything is possible and only time will tell, but it is a strong possibility that it is just people not reading the details of the communications.

Last update from an inside source said the release was pushed back to end of may instead of the 15th.

Works for me. I found an independent dealer here locally that'll let my buy a 6700, and as long as I keep packaging, I've got 45 days to exchange up to a 6800 for the difference at retail, BUT I get to use the mail-in... on both of 'em.

Programs compatable from 6700 with 6800?

Will programs that currently work with the 6700 work with the 6800?

Thanks!

Yes, they are both WM5. Will your Dell WinXP PC programs work on a Gateway PC with WinXP? Same deal here.
