Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

Tried it again this morning with mobile and had the same luck as before, so I switched it back to PDE.

Out of curiosity shadow-tech, had you previously tried gc14's previous QPST-based fix without the PDE server info (i.e., unchecking and rechecking the gpsOne configuration)? I should have mentioned that I did do that (which is more than the simple titan fix) and had no performance improvement, whereas many others seemed to. Adding the server info improved things however. Does Mobile mode utilize the PDE server config in any way?

I'm having little luck finding an actual MSM7500 or gpsOne module data sheet and would appreciate it if somebody could point me to one. I looking for something I expect to be 100+ pages, not a technical specification/overview.

At any rate, as you said, whatever works works, and the PDE mode does for me now. Thanks so much again.

i didnt do his 1st fix. i was about to then i saw the fields for the Pde ip and port. i thought i had seen them somewere and i found them. funny thing is, blaine12 just took a pic of qpst at work. he didnt type the settings in his post. i wrote down what was in the pic. the next day his pic was gone! so i found it just in time.

follow the link in post #1 to xda. we had an extensive thread over there. some where there is a zip file full of pdfs i uploaded to rapid share. ill see if i can find it. this is just a few pdfs that uploaded.

It makes me curious if the original fix would have worked for you (sans PDE info), whereas it did not for me.

I'm on Alltel. Just got my PPC6800 -- has stock ROM but now has radio 3.42.50.

im alltel, i use the 3.35 rom and 3.37 radio.

what we really need to do is get a username and password for cdmatech.support.com site. thats got tons of manuals and software.

I would upgrade to the 3.42.50. It increases radio reception like crazy man! I got reception in our mall where I didn't on the 3.37 radio.

yeah, ive been wanting to. but i just keep waiting for the dam alltel 6.1 update and thinking there is going to be a radio with it. what do u think?

Just flash the stinking thing. If there is a radio update you can always flash it later.

Great post... i wonder if this makes any difference doing it over a BELL Stock ROM... i already have fast lock on Live Search and TT7... IGo8 cannot be used without the Astro Launcher though!
