follow the link in post #1 to xda. we had an extensive thread over there. some where there is a zip file full of pdfs i uploaded to rapid share. ill see if i can find it. this is just a few pdfs that uploaded.

It makes me curious if the original fix would have worked for you (sans PDE info), whereas it did not for me.
I'm on Alltel. Just got my PPC6800 -- has stock ROM but now has radio 3.42.50.
