I agree...I guess sometimes I assume too easily....

On a side note, I don't know how others feel about the subject, but since we are so big about not sharing copyrighted software on this site, in my opinion, downloading movies illegally is essentially the same thing. Next time just say you were downloading "a big file." lol
As long as you are not sharing the movie on here you are ok on this....

Re: Help with Storage Card asap Please

so after a long hassle of trying to find a spot that sold the card reader from verizon stores whom didn't have any and told me to go to radio shack because they carry them, i did and bought the card reader, and tried doing what you guys suggested which was try to connect it to the computer and move the files over but I insert the card into the card reader and plug it into the computer, the computer reads that its there but it tells me that it has not been formatted yet and do i want to format the card, i hit the yes button and after a few minutes it tells me that the card can't be formatted, how do i resolve this issue? does it mean that the card is completely useless now??

I have had the same issue man and I posted on here to no avail. Move your file/copy or whatever you need to do to have a back up and then hopefully get a replacement. SD claims that circuit went bad inside, I have no clue man and I am waiting for a replacement. Good luck

yea but see thats the problem, i have all the programs installed on the memory card but since the phone can't read it because of the message that it gives me about the components that are missing, i can't copy anything from the memory card into the phone, or copy anything from the memory card to the computer because the computer recognizes that the card is there but the message it gives me is to format it and when i do try to format it, it tells me that it can't be formatted, so i can't even copy anything from the card to any place, and the other funny part is that i had a backup of the phone but it was stored in the memory card

Re: Help with Storage Card asap Please

Maybe try using scandisk or chkdisk to see if you can scan and maybe fix the card. I'm really not sure why you are trying to reformat cause that will definitely erase everything on the card.

Re: Help with Storage Card asap Please

I suggest finding a free trial or even a "free trial" of Pocket Mechanic because it will scan your memory card for bad sectors and mark them so you can use the rest of the card again.

Alternately, you can try and use the card reader in a Mac or Apple computer just to see if it's a card error or a file system error.

Btw: I would only accept the prompts to format that card as an absolute last resort seeing as though you will use all your data.

Re: Help with Storage Card asap Please

when you d/l large files it sucks away your on device storage memory first... and a storage memory critically low message pops up, hit ok and it will continue to d/l and save to the card. i have d/l files up to 300 mb on my mogul. next time you start a download hit start/settings/system/memory and watch your storage start declining rapidly lol. but it comes back when file is complete. as far as your card goes, try what the guy said above, delete the incomplete download and try again.
