Not entirely true. A few months ago when I had my Motorola Q, it had a whole list of problems. I reported it lost and they sent me another (refurb) in a couple business days.

When I tried activating it, the Sprint rep told me the ESN was already in use. The next step was to call up Asurion and tell them that they sent me an unusable phone. The Asurion rep then told me he will be sending me the Moto Q Kit, which is brand new in box with all the accessories.

But regardless, they usually DO send you refurbished phones unless you run into a problem like mine.

Anyways, since everyone else asked, I'm wondering myself. What's your secret? I'd love to know.

I of course refused to believe them when they told me I'd recieve a new phone, not a refurb, until I check myself. I've been through 7 Moguls since September of 2007.

Didn't know that......I have my success through the store itself (never have had to pay the $50 deductible)....but if I ever need to....I will keep this in mind....thanks for the info...

Ok here is a good answer for you and they will replace it without anything to say.... Download a version of the rom then try to install it in on your device but once it is installing unplug the usb cable from it that should mess up your phone.. what i mean it should just show a 4 color screen on it.. so then take it to the sprint store and tell them that you where trying to do the update on your phone but something happened that you dont know whats wrong with it so they will look at it and they will not be able to repair it or something they will give you a brand new or referbish phone... Im telling you cause thats what happened to me but the update messup it was an accident not intentionally..

I think it is worth the PM rather than posting here! LOL
I don't think I could do number 1. Number 2 isn't so, well...never mind.

I have had so much trouble with my local store, I am always looking for ideas to help get them to budge. I've even gone to one of the corporate vice presidents in the past because my local store manager was so bad.

pay for that sprint phone insurance thing, i think its 50 bucks total, break your phone, so it becomes unrepairable, and call up sprint and all that stuff. you should be getting a new phone. you could try reporting it lost, i don't know, i've only gotten one through a "pissed guy throws phone at wall" action.

Only problem is you have to wait to get the phone....and pay $50....I dont like waiting and I do not like paying a $50 co-pay when I pay for the service monthly.....LOL

BTW you do not get a new phone....it is a refurb.....my way you can sometimes get a brand new phone
