Upgraded PPC6800 no internet and no EVDO coverage

I'm trying to flash the Alltell PPC6800 rom from HTC's site, then will see if *228 works. Otherwise I'll try and get ahold of my buddy. Worse case scenario I do have insurance, hopefully I don't "drop" the phone....$50 deductable is better than trying to explain to the service dept what I've been doing

I have done a ton of reading and think I have a good understanding of how to do this. Have you tried DCD's rom yet? I would help guide you thru that. If you can get it working on Cellcom's network, that might be all the hutzpah I would need to try this myself. If you can't connect now, you got nothing to lose in trying DCD's rom.
