so i can take apart my verizon xv6800 and change the case to ether a sprint or alltel case and everything will fit and work correct? and if this is true what am i moving from my current titan to the new housing? ie what parts? does anyone know of a picture based instuctions on this proess? like a pdf or something like that?

I just completed the process using this tutorial in about 30 minutes. I replaced my screen and it wasn't that hard. A torx6 is mandatory though.

Instructions are great. Just took my 6800 all the way down as I had to clean the back of the main buttons. The back (left side of circle) function quit working. After a clean of the contacts on the back, everything good as new.
Only caution is to make sure you do this in an area where all parts, especially the tiny screws don't get away. I lost one, the single one holding the plate on the screen side but it had no ill adverse as the plastic plate on top of it is well secured. I found it after fully reassembled. Will hold onto it if it feels loose. |
