WHITE LED? My LED turns bright white and stays lit...

I searched and found nothing helpful. forgive me if i overlooked something.


first: this is... hands-down... the best forum for ppc users!

moving on,

I have a mogul and I noticed when I am on the phone for a while and it is connected to my charger (oem sprint wall charger) the white LED that usually indicates a data transfer or bluetooth connection turns BRIGHT white. I usually have to unplug the charger and/or sometimes soft reset to get it to turn off. any ideas?

I have 3.35 rom and radio installed off of the sprint website and no funny programs or regedits other than the usual ones. no damage to the phone either.

let me know what you think and thanks in advance. PPC GEEKS is the best.

I had that problem with my Mogul. Mine got really hot when that happened. Mine was in warranty. First they tried swapping the battery and eventually replaced my mogul.

ya mine gets really warm too! ESPECIALLY if i am on the phone using the charger and the headset at the same time! did they give you a refurb?

I think i'm going to send mine in because i have had it for well under a year and this isn't the only problem. I have 2 bright white spots on the screen where it looks like its brighter than the rest of the screen. I know this is a common problem but it drives me mad.

Question: HTC said (when i called them) that i needed the original proof of purchase from SPRINT to verify that i bought it from them. All i have is the original packing invoice... is that what they are talking about? please let me know because if that's the case i am sending this badboy asap.

I think my replacement was a refurb but I have had the refurb for 6 months and it has been really solid. I didn't call HTC directly. My sprint store took care of it for me. Dunno on the packing slip.

Just take it directly to a Sprint store, you shouldn't have to send it to HTC.

thanks, i called again and they told me to just take it in... like you guys said!

the first time i called they told me i had to deal with HTC directly. that's what you get for talking to "Peter" or "Christopher".

It usually takes a couple of days for them to order in a new one. They let you keep the one you have as long as it is still working.
