Re: What's the best mobile internet browser?

Opera Mini 4.1 until Skyfire beta manages faster scrolling on pages. I'm looking forward to the final release of Skyfire 1.0 there's a lot of promise in that application.

Re: What's the best mobile internet browser?

What are you guys using to watch videos on youtube? When I try and watch videos on mini I keep getting that I don't have the correct flash version?? I just downloaded the latest realease from Flash. If I try and watch with PIE it tries to play it in Windows Media Player, and tells me that it can't be downloaded at this time...

Re: What's the best mobile internet browser?

As a paid product, the new Coreplayer works great. Check it out here....
http://coreplayer.com/content/view/28/69/

Otherwise search the threads and download the free TCPMP and skunkworks flash bundle for PIE.

Youtube player is another free alternative.

I use a stand alone application called vTap that searches most video sites including YouTube and plays the content within the application itself without the use of a web browser.

Hope that helps!

Re: What's the best mobile internet browser?

I'm surprised nobody mentioned minimo. It's a RAM hog, but I've been playing with it for the past 2-3 days, trying to figure out if I like it better than NetFront or Opera.

Re: What's the best mobile internet browser?

MiniMo is a horrible browser and a totally scrapped project. That is why nobody has brought it up.

Everything that MiniMo does, Opera does faster... And MiniMo crashes a lot with the lack of RAM on the Mogul.

MiniMo hasn't been updated in what, a year?

Re: What's the best mobile internet browser?

Does the xv6800 even come with Java out of the box? If it does, you need to launch the Java app from Programs first, then go to PIE and try to download Opera Mini...

If there is no Java built in, you need Jbed:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...4&postcount=10

Install that to your phone, launch it, then go and download Opera Mini
