Re: So my "brand new" phone came out of the box with 2.40 Olipro
Nah. There's nothing wrong with it. And I was going to stick the bootloader on there anyway.
Why go through the hassle when I've got a phone that works flawlessly, isn't missing the letter "s" on the keyboard, and doesn't have the backlight burn-in just because it came with the Olipro bootloader on it stock? What am I going to tell Asurion anyway, "oh, I just happened to put myself in bootloader and realized that this phone has been unlocked"? Yeah right.

yeah i agree, no point in returning the device, since you were gonna put 2.40 anyway
- it just means that someone took care of that step for you

I've gotten a refurb 6700 from asurion that had a mother board from another carrier can tell by the esn range and they loaded the latest vzw aku that puts the 2.05 bootloader on there but the phone still had a bootloader of 2.02. Guess they loaded it with noId and it showed SPCS_001 as the cid in the nvm.

Re: So my "brand new" phone came out of the box with 2.40 Olipro
you would be amazed that the top people at sprint check this forum all the time.
So sprint keeps screwing my bill up for the past yr so i called corporate and they told me to come on ppcgeeks.com to get the mms program for the mogul. I almost p***** out laughing. so for them to put olipro on there doesnt shock me, they already know what we planned on doing. THIS IS SPRINT STEPPING UP THEIR CUSTOMER CARE |

When I returned mine to Telecom for repair, they replaced it with a brand new phone, all stickers still on it, no calls on timer etc, and it had Olipro 1.20.

Re: So my "brand new" phone came out of the box with 2.40 Olipro
Well with all the lames that come here get stuck in the bootloader, then they start a new thread looking for help, we direct them to "search and Read" the say "eff that" run back to the Sprint or Verizon store, get a new phone and never try to flash again...who knows how many barely used phones are out there with Olipro 2.40 on them...and when the phone companies get the phone they check them out I assume, and find there isnt anything wrong with the phone...why not send it out as new...
I don't know....To me, its not a bad thing that it comes out of the box with Olipro 2.40, well for Olipro it is if he's not gettin his effin Royalties...but it is interesting...
