I use Activesync push email all day and have had bluetooth on for a few hours, made about 40 minutes of calls and tons of texts since 8AM this morning [it is now 8:51, so twelve hrs] and my batt is at 73%. Granted, I have an extended battery, but even w/the standard battery, I would suspect that would hover around 50%.

I have my backlight settings at mid-high, but powers off after 1 min. Roaming is set to Sprint only [THIS MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE], turned beam off, and have the Batt and Peformance cab I posted a link to above.

This is the best battery life I have ever gotten out of any ROM. Worth checking out if you haven't already [no2chem is also releasing a new build tomorrow supposedly, so it might be worth waiting one more day]

Re: Battery Life nochem or dcd

I actually have the official HTC extended battery. I actually love the way it feels in my hand w/the battery, even if it sticks out.

It is a 2200mAh battery compared to the stock 1500mAh. I notice a huge difference.

I got it direct shipped from Sprint for 49.99 including the back If you'd like to see what it makes the phone look like, let me know and I will post some pictures.

Re: Battery Life nochem or dcd

I just recently installed the latest dcd rom. with the gps. i cannot compare against the other custom roms because this is my first venture into custom roms. but the battery has lasted alot longer than the stock alltel setup. i too have the extended battery. you get used to the extra girth.

Re: Battery Life nochem or dcd

Wow... I can't believe I'm bringing back such an old post but who cares? Well, I used DCD 3.0.4 for like a hour so I can't give a review. However, I have ran the stock ROM and also No2Chem's 5060 rom and stock clearly wins in battery life. Not only does stock give me more battery life, but it feels more responsive as well. Then again, I'm pretty heavy in everything (apps, calls, internet, plugins, etc.) on my phone besides GPS.

I am going to give these battery and performance hacks a try for No2Chem's 5060 and see how they work for me. Any updates from anyone on the battery life of these roms?

Re: Battery Life nochem or dcd

Hey Pink, DcD's roms have lasted longer on battery for me than no2chem's roms but no2chem's roms have less bugs and more speed. I now cook all my own titan roms now and use my own hacks . So what I would recommend for you for the best battery life is to use no2chems rom for speed and then install schaps advanced configuration. Then go into it and set all power management options to enabled and reboot. (Schaps will ask to soft reset) Make sure ir (beam) is disabled (Recieve all incoming beams), turn backlight to halfway on battery, set turn off backlight if device is not used for 30 seconds, set on battery power turn off device after 1 minute. I get on average 8 hours of use out of my device under heavy use. Hope this helps. Let me know how it works for u. =)

Re: Battery Life nochem or dcd

Note: Schapps Adv. Config is known to cause a problem with no2chems roms with causing a delay when trying to answer a call sometimes causing calls to be missed all together.

Thats odd because I have never have that problem. I am using the dual touch dialer as well. Even at that you can still use Schapps Adv config to setup the power configuration and then simply uninstall it.

Re: Battery Life nochem or dcd

i dont know if its just me, but ive been using DCD's roms since i got my 6800, and the battery life is never less than half. took off the charger at 6 this morning, and its 68% right now under heavy use. i cant imagine n2c's could be much better.
