Re: Garmin GPS.......

I have just confirmed that 4.20.40w will change the clock if you don't have a sat sync. I just closed it out and what do you know. It says 8:00 pm. Oh well. but I guess why would I need GPS inside a steel building.

I did find something interesting. when I uploaded the last time. I didn't take all the way. and now everytime I do a hard reset or load a rom. it asks me if I want to install garmin. Makes the install real easy. Not sure why it asks on each install but I like it. I am guessing cause the install is on the storage card.

This is because Garmin puts an autorun file in the "2577" folder on your storage card. Anything in this folder gets autorun at startup - if you delete this file from that folder, this won't happen.

Any one else? I'm not having any issues with it. My clock has not changed one time. I'm trying to duplicate it but its standing true at the right time.

Re: Garmin GPS.......

Has anyone managed to get this working so the voice directions play through a BT headset?I was really hoping this would work so I could hear the directions over my Bt when I am on my motorcycle.

So if I uninstall the autorun from the 2577 folder it will stop the annoying pop up that asks me if I want to start XT everytime I reinsert my card.Very nice this was getting a little annoying last night.

Re: Garmin GPS.......

Ok fine. I can't repeat my find from yesterday. I tried today and it's been on for 5 min already without it telling me it can't find a signal nor without it switching to night mode. Which is when it changes the time.

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/store/do...=138&pID=11413
has all three files.

For some reason the link enthf406 provided won't allow you to click on the links to back up.

Here is the info on the upgrade.

Changes made from version 4.20.20w to 4.20.40w:
  • Provide additional error checking to detect corrupted NMEA input from third party GPS receivers.
  • Provide increased voice prompt volume for smartphone devices.
  • Provide additional coordinate location formats when selecting Where To -> Coordinates.
  • Modify map drawing settings to improve the map drawing speed.
  • Correct text translations (Dutch).

So what your saying is the clock is fine? Also the links from enthf406 work fine. I just checked them in post #1 and in his post. Thats funny you gave upgrade info from 4.20.20 to 4.20.40... What happened to 4.20.30? I know there where changers in that one. Shouldn't you have went 4.20.20,4.20.30,4.20.40?

As much as it sucks it has to be done...Do you know how old it gets with all the PM's because clowns are to lazy to search for themselves and fine things/answers? I have to shut my PM's off ever once in a while because of Lazy people asking stupid questions. Gets old.....
Another reason When people start telling people how to patch/crack it brings heat down on the site. Eg: Palm threaded messaging. Palm was cruzin around and found Their application cracked to work on WM phones and they didn't dig that. They asked for it to be removed and you know it was and has/will never be posted again. Lots of people from lots of businesses follow these threads. I wouldn't be surprised if people from Sprint,Palm,Garmin, and other software companies brows this site to see how people like there product and learn about bugs.
