I sure wish I knew what you guys not complaining about memory are doing.

I'm running Opera ONLY and I've got 1.34MB free...

I miss the Touch for this very reason. Thank god I never use the camera... have to soft reset every time because it won't run with >10MB it seems.

If this thing had 128MB of RAM, it would be the best Sprint phone period but it doesn't and that's just plain unfortunate.

Mogul and Touch use the same MSM7500 chipset. GPS may not be enabled in the Touch (I don't know if it is or not), but it could be.
I thought it was established the Mogul has GPS. It works with the radio off. The reason you see your interweb working is because google maps/live search is loading your visual map not your position.

I don't know. The ROM update did bring a lot of promised features even though its not official. However, this leaked ROM still has a lot of bugs to be worked out. A lot of people are overwhelmed by GPS and Rev A. but these were never the problems of the phone. They were just requests for promised goods. The same issue that existed still do. Freezing, memory issues, some blustooth problems(not as bad as before).

So people, lets focus on what is important. And YES! I know some of you your phones work PERFECTLY so no need to reply with that.Even with the known issues of ndows Vista, there people who still claim its perfect even though MS has a list of over 400 bugs.

If you read the New Rom thread or do some testing, you will realize it is Full GPS. Shut of the radio (flight mode), the GPS still works fine.
JFYI

This is my understanding as well. As a matter of fact I know I lost data and the GPS still worked. I was using Google maps and my little GPS icon was gliding across a bunch of loading arrows for like 5 min in the dead spot i drive though. I switched to TomTom and it was working fine.

I have memory issues but its nothing like that. I can usually keep 12-15MB free no matter what I am running as long its not like 3 or 4 programs at once.

Some programs like Navigon 6 will take every ounce of memory my phone has.

I use SKTools Free Memory all the time though.

If we had 128MB it would be incredible.

Even after a week without a soft reset still 61mb free ram, the mogul would be down to 16 which doesnt leave a lot left to run programs. i hated managing the memory on the mogul more than anything thats the one big downfall to it why id be leary to return to it.'

also i think the build quality of the touch is much much better its just top notch no creaks or wiggles or plasticy feel.

fyi i owned the mogul since the day it was released up to the date the touch was released and the touch since then. So extensive use of both devices.
Yes, I agree, the thing that will severly limit the product life of the Titan is memory. And, for me, the still mediocre BT means my Mogul has gone on the shelf and will likely be traded for a Treo 800w.

And it's a shame, because I love the form factor and build quality of the Titan (IMO, it's better than my Touch, which does creak).

The Mogul has done a 180 just like the 6700 did, to me the Touch is just a revised version of the 6800, for user preference, it is not its upgrade.
I don't agree that the Touch was MEANT to be an upgrade for the Mogul. I have both and they both have clear and separate places in Sprint's product line.

I agree that the Touch is NOT an upgrade for the Mogul. I don't use Wifi on the Mogul, so don't miss it / want it on the Touch. I do miss the keyboard and hard buttons when I use my Touch. You're underestimating the Mogul memory problem - all I need to do is have a few apps open, bring up the camera - and boom, out of memory.

I also think the XV6800 is the best phone in Verizon's lineup at the moment. The i760 was a total disappointment to mee and looks like it was designed in the 80's.
