They needed to leak a test ROM , because of all the problem the other ROMS have caused. I want to install the Beta ROm, but I think I will wait. If there are problems with Beta, hopefully they will be corrected in the official ROM. Maybe they will drop in WM6.1??? Who knows

these developers at sprint and their managers aren't ultimately getting measured by when users on internet forums install test roms but when the roms are released to the general public. like all software projects there are deadlines that are important to meet to free up resources etc

yes i agree that in general you're right, but the same person who released the rom to us here also said that he heard from sources inside sprint that the official rom was pushed back now to march....i was saying that this leak now bought them time to further work out bugs whether it was intended that way or not.

Your the first here at the geeks that has said something about it. Over at XDA a few people Brought up Shit Rock.(Shit Rock = Bubbles cat) Yes He is from the "Trailer Park Boys". If you've never seen it dl some, while your at it dl some "Kenny vs Spenny" too.

FYI - After filing my complaint with the WA State AGO I received a letter from Sprint saying that the release date is in fact Today....Jan-28. BUT, I also know that there is credible evidence that this ROM has been pushed back.

As I have also stated in another post, I have word from "the horses mouth" inside MS that the new ROM is supposed to be due out in the spring and it is WM6.1.....which coincides with the reports that this ROM has been pushed back to March....spring starts on March 22nd which is the Friday before the 24th....the last Monday of March.

However, HTC's site still says "early Q1 2008". That is the month of January. February would be the "middle Q1 2008" and March would be "late Q1 2008".

My hope is that we will see it tonight, 11pm ET...8pm PT....but nothing will suprise me.

Of course my post is speculation. But it's speculation based on the only facts I have which are 1) Sprint told me a specific date of today, and 2) MS told me WM6.1 for the Mogul in spring of 2008. All I said is that the 2 events coincide....not that it is what will happen

so, techincally, up til feb 14 could be considered "early," after then it would be "late."
unless you want to include "mid," in which case I expect -some- sort of update, if only to say it has been pushed back.

but, i think it's all too good to be true and i fully expect to be disappointed

After spending about 4 hours getting my phone back to normal, I hope it isnt released today, because it will cause me to have to do that all over again. The test Rom is working perfectly for me, but I would always update to an official Rom just so that if anything goes wrong I can bitch at sprint.
