Read back in this thread. I think utilizing a backup when loading a new ROM messes things up. You have to start from scratch.

Just to let you people know, the roaming triangle DOES infact work while roaming in Canada. My Mogul displayed the triangle, as well as the word INTERNATIONAL. At least that works.

I am very new to all of this (My first PPC) I installed 2.17 2 days ago (Have only had the phone for a week off Ebay)

I accidentally found a fix for the low volume on calls.
I clicked on the speaker and took both bars all the way up and still had a problem hereing who I was talking to. It was very aggravating, as I pushing the phone tight to my ear trying to here a caller my cheek hit the speeker icon and i saw it was only 1/2 way up, I told the person to hold I bumped it up to the top and now the volume is great I here everyone fine. Not sure why being on a call would be different than not but oh well

Hope this helps

When you are in a call it controls the volume for the ear piece and when your not it controls the ringer volume(that is why it up full bore when not in a call and half way while in a call). Hate to bust your bubble but that's not a fix but just the way it works. Good try though. You gave it a try.....

Well I have looked as best I know how and I can't find this problem anywhere. I didn't notice it with the old rom (2.09) so I think it is new rom (2.17) related. When receiving calls with the data disconnected everything is fine. If I receive a call with the data connected and press either the green talk or left "answer" soft key the phone takes about 5-6 seconds to answer. If I don't hit the button soon enough the call will go to voicemail three seconds after I hit the talk button. I have tested this with data actively moving (the data connect arrows are white) and in idle (arrows are gray) and there is no difference. I have also tried this immediately following a hard reset and it has the same issue. Anyone have any thoughts or similar experiences?

Thanks.

ok i flashed last night, and so far there are no complaints, does feel a little snappier, and so far no obvious conflicts between plugins, apps, and most importantly for me the incoming call delay and the talk button, hard, and soft button not answering calls issues are gone... all in all i'm liking it so far but i'm keeping notes of performance thru the first 5 days or so to monitor...

The issue has been present in both mogul roms. search for threads on "SCI" or Slot Cycle Index, this should help your particular issue. it has been successful for most who reported having this. the only fix for mine was a hard reset and full reinstall of all apps manually, soft reseting after installing any apps running from the device (storage card apps seemed fine with out the soft reset.) Good luck!

As my Militia Brethren mentioned SCI is a good place to start to handle the incoming call/ring throughput issues.
