T-Mobile is taking a stand!

i just read this articel on Phonescoop, where T-mobile is rufusing to sel the new Sidekick Slideds until Motrolla fixes the issue with them.

T-Mobile Suspends Sidekick Slide Sales

Saturday, 12:36 PM by Eric Lin
T-Mobile has officially halted sales Sidekick Slide sales until Motorola can fix a defect with the device. A number of Slide users have reported problems with the Sidekick powering off when the screen was slid open or closed. Current Slide owners experiencing this problem should contact customer care or bring the Slide into a T-Mobile store. Other Sidekick models are unaffected by this problem.

That's not what I meant. I just wanted to point out that if Sprint wanted to do a recall or stop sales of the Mogul, they could.

The info is appreciated, but any company can halt sales or recall items if they want to. The problem is that they will TRY not to because it is a very costly process, and generates lots of bad press.

Think about it... For all the problems we have had on the mogul... has anyone seen a generally public newsstory (think places where the average person looks, not where we look) about the problems it has? The answer is probably not. If there was one, sales of the mogul would take a sharp dive, and thus cut into profits.

Sprint also said that the fix would be out October 28th, didn't they? And we all know how that turned out.

I dont wanna turn this into another ranting thread about the Mogul. I like the Touch, but to be honest it is porr substitue for the Mogul. Having to remove my battery cover in order put in my memory card would piss me off, no WiFi and no keyboard.

I hate to say this becaue I like the Touch, but I would rather have a Touch Dual. The Touch is a "poor man's iphone".

wow you are so right because anything new doesn't mean its better. all the mogul needs is speed without managing memory. i think mogul users jumped the gun to fast.
