That's not the original ROM - that's the 2.09 version. The original version (and the one I had on my phone when I got it) is 2.08.

No worries. I would like to know why it's so hard to get the 2.08 ROM though. I understand that HTC and Sprint never made it available as a download but you would think that with all of the custom ROMs, hacks available, etc., it wouldn't be that hard to extract the 2.08 ROM from the Mogul and make it available as a download. Maybe it's much more complicated than that.

Usually my deals are with very large companies and include "Satisfaction Guaranteed" arrangements with the carrier (Sprint in the case of the Mogul). If one of these companies gets too disturbed with the challenges of a device, the carrier could lose all of it's activations in one fell swoop. So, beleive me, there is great concern behind the scenes, right now.

The only one thing that bothers me from their statement is that they say that they wait to put the updates on their site.

I have mentioned this a couple of times before, but the downloads section for the WM OS on the Sprint site has not been updated since Palm released the SMS patch for the 700wx. They never posted the 1.15 update for the 700wx and they never posted the 2.09 ROM for the Mogul.

Also, when you click on Available Updates from the launchpad home page on the Mogul itself, it says there are no updates available, meaning 2.09 for the Mogul never made it there either.

I believe it's nice if they feel this way, but if this is their position on that matter, then no updates out there have been sanctioned by Sprint since they have not posted them.

They'd have to offer me a Touch... and I'd still think about it.

I think at this point they should at least offer all Mogul customer some type of credit. Or replace the Mogul's with a new device from HTC. HTC has many devices that I sure Sprint could adpot and quickly appease us with. I like the look of the "Touch" but I want a keyboard. The only reason I got rid of my Moto Q was to get a better keyboard and WM6.

All in all, this is my first PPC, so I really dont have to much to complain about. I get alot of enough on my phones from this site and a couple of others . So thank you to everyone on this site.

I was kinda hoping that Sprint corrected the issues with this Mogul really for everyone else on this site. Sorry guys.

yeah even if they offered me a touch i would still decline...thats just more headaches waiting in the wings

Hey! at least they offered. They way things are going, it may be that the rumours of this device being discontinued weren't so far fetched after all. For crying out loud. My first XDA from T-Mob in 2000 with PPCPE upgraded to WM2003 did not have as much problems as the Mogul. My Ipaq 6315 as notorious as it was did not have issues like the mogul. The Wizard as popular as it was did not have serious issues like the Mogul. No PPCPE/WM device is prefect or without problems but Sprint really blew it on this one.
