IG 4.0 works fine for me as long as I do a soft reset first to get back the memory Bill Gates borrows from my Mogul every day. TT6 also works well BUT lacks the essential search street first feature of IG4. TT shows its European heritage where towns are very well defined as opposed to here in the USA. Using my mailing address, TT6 will tell you my home doesn't exist.

I have ran IG 3.x on Apache WM5 for couple years..Found that weather panel with the animated icons made it crawl. Maps would not update. Just disabled WP when using IG and all is fine.

Hey all,

I'm running a WM6 kitchen-baked ROM on my Apache, and found that iGuidance couldn't find the GPS information even when set to the same port and baud rate as specified in the GPS settings. All other programs could, though. However, I found that when I run GoogleMaps and iGuidance 3.0 simultaneously iG does receive the needed GPS data. So maybe the solution for the short term is to run both at the same time if you need voice prompts (like geographically-challenged me).

Just FYI...

- Doug

I had problems with iGuidance 3.0, it was slow, the voice prompts sounded like they were in slow motion, and it kept shutting down. I downloaded and installed the free 3.1 upgrade and it works just fine. I have used it on ROM 2.09, 2.16, and now 2.17.

Smile IG4 with Mogul sprint 6GB MicroSD

Iguidance 4 works fine with the Mogul (Stock rom, now no2chem rom) when loaded in main memory. Usign 6Gb SDHC for maps (1.3GB data for full US/Canada with POI). Boots quickly and allows switching to calls for incoming with/without BT. Was using a holux BT GPS for a while then switched to the Freedom GPS. No problems with either, although the cold start time varies alot for the GPS when traveling between states (i.e. if you boot the GPS in a new location far from the last lock position, it can take a while to locate satellites).

IG4 is faster than TOMTOM on the Mogul and gives much better directions (spoken street names and interstates) and also allows a demo run between points without the need to hook up the GPS.

you can just buy this, try it out and see how you like it.

Then if it's works out, then i believe there is a way to purchase the full license key.

I am using DCD's WM6.1 rom and iguidance runs, but the screen rarely updates. It has a full lock on 6-7 sats. It just seems like my system is too slow to run it.

Anyone know why? Its installed into the main memory. Also its 4.0.

I have tried all of the GPS apps and tomtom 6 is the best. maps of usa and canada are almost 900mb of memory. with my 2gb storage card it gives me room for other stuff. works like a champ. original poster PM me and I will give you a link where you can get tomtom 6 and all maps at a discounted price.
