iGuidance 4.0 & Mogul

Very quick question about iguidance 4.0 with my Holux m-1200 GPS receiver.

I'm using a Mogul and am curious about the actual compatibility rate. I've searched and found that it works for many, but not all.

As there is not a return policy for iGuidance, does anyone know where I could "test it out"?? PM me if you could help.

Anyone fellow Mogul users have any input?

P.S. - I've already got my mind on iGuidance over TomTom and etc.

Thanks for the help.

Works great for me

I have a Holux1200 and 4.0 on my mogul and it works flawlessly. Albeit the iGuidance software is a bit slow when switching programs or when getting a phone call, etc. But what can you expect when it's using so many resources.

Which ROM are you using?

Can you see your lat/long location with this program?

I use 4.0 and a Rikeline gps and it works flawlessly for me. I'm not experiencing the sluggishness that the others are. It does take maybe 15 seconds for it to load on startup but that's about it.

Not exactly on point, but I was using iGuidance 3.x on my Mogul, and much prefer TomTom 6 myself. iG would shut down randomly when travelling.

Perhaps 4 is better for WM6, but just thought I'd mention it.

Also, I use a BT-359 GPS receiver.

I too have iGuidance (previous 3.x and now 4.0) with the Microsoft Streets & Trips GPS (Pharos i-360).

The trick with this software (both version 3.x & 4.x) is to load the software in main memory and then put the maps on the storage card (with 4.x you don't have any other choice, there's no room in main memory for 2gb of maps).

If you load and run from main memory you will not get the degregaded performance, and the program will not abruptly stop.

AFAIK, Iguidance 3.x is incompatible with winmo6, hence the reason why we have IG 4.0. That's not to say that it doesn't work on the Mogul, just that it's very buggy.

I'm using iGuidance 3.x with the Mogul (Sprint / WM6) and it works great. Fast, never locks up and I can just load the maps I want instead of the whole friggin country (like 4.x requires).
