help, my mogul is not connecting usb to pc

I had this on two vista boxes. I had to uninstall windows mobile device center, reboot and reinstall. This fixed both my laptops.

Just wondering if you found a solution for this because my phone is doing the same. Although I don't have any way to check bluetooth syncing. I've tried two different computers with two different USB cables and I don't even get the little sound that is played when a USB device is hooked up.
