ic zeurx... I haven't had a chance to look at the ftp yet. I'm still new to all this you know. Life is a lot easier now thanks to all of you.

Is it possible that this tool can be used to extract the 2.08 ROM from a Mogul that has yet to be upgraded and then posted for all to download and flash?

This tool dumps NBH files. You need pdocread to dump from the device, i just posted about this a thread about 2.08.

I saw your reply over there - thanks for that. I know that mandangalo had PM'd you about this because he had a Mogul with the 2.08 ROM on it but I guess nothing ever came of it. Maybe you can work with him or someone else with 2.08 to make this available as an executable so we can flash to 2.08. I know I would greatly appreciate it as it would make it much easier for me to get my Mogul back to a working state.

Honestly you should just try the 2.09 and run the alltel fix and see if that solves your problems, i'm pretty sure you'll be OK at that point (if you have a restore you can run it, not that i recommend restores, but it's same OS level). Definitely something to think about in the meantime. I did return that PM, but never saw him in IRC yet.

As you know, running a restore across ROMs is not a good idea so even if I did flash to 2.09, it's not like I would want to run a restore since it would overwrite some of the ROM files. Basically, I'm trying to avoid having to do everything from scratch since I already did it once in order to go to 2.16 and I'll potentially have to do it again when/if HTC releases another update in 2008.
