Honestly you should just try the 2.09 and run the alltel fix and see if that solves your problems, i'm pretty sure you'll be OK at that point (if you have a restore you can run it, not that i recommend restores, but it's same OS level). As you know, running a restore across ROMs is not a good idea so even if I did flash to 2.09, it's not like I would want to run a restore since it would overwrite some of the ROM files. Basically, I'm trying to avoid having to do everything from scratch since I already did it once in order to go to 2.16 and I'll potentially have to do it again when/if HTC releases another update in 2008.
