First of all, I never said you were ignorant, but rather merely implied that there've been a whole lot of posts on a subject where people don't do any backround research before expressing theit opinion.
As for the "advanced users", please don't confuse the fact that they don't waste their time arguing/posting until more details come out, with "ruled out".

While you are correct that it is frustrating that people keep posting and posting without first doing any reading, you are wrong on your other point. The only thing that was "determined" when the Mogul was actually torn apart, was that there was no separate antenna for the GPS. Since then, it has been disclosed/posted that the Qualcomm chip can utilize the Celluar antenna for GPS and therefore, we still don't know if the phone is stand-alone GPS capable.

We are all human, we can all be wrong. I was merely stating my opinion and posting information that has been determined by other users on this same forum and topic.
Once again, be careful who you try to insult or call names. In this community we respect each other.

Once again, I did not direct the "ignorance" comment at you (although I did quote your post).
I am very grateful for the amount of information that becomes available via the combined efforts of everyone on the board. However, as we both appear to agree, I am frustrated with the number of posts that spread false information/rumors.
Just as when the HTC Trinity first came out, there were tons of posts over on XDA speculating on if GPS would ever be enabled. And for some reason, there were lots and lots of people overly eager to state as fact that there was no GPS inside. Then, a few months later, thanks to the efforts of a few that did not "believe the hype", we had a GPS enabled ROM long before HTC released the official update.
Sorry for offending you, but as a moderator, please refrain from spreading information that may or may not be true, or else provide links to supporting evidence
