From the link above...

What is GPS and is my phone capable?

The global positioning system (GPS) is a satellite navigation system. More than two dozen GPS satellites orbit the Earth transmitting radio signals, which allow GPS enabled devices such as phones to determine their location. The location may be expressed in longitude and latitude or it may be shown on a map. Location services can help you get directions or locate someone else who has a GPS enabled phone. For more information on the location services, go to Real-time tracking.
The following Sprint Nextel devices use GPS:

This ignorance is really starting to get to me!

Go lookup the Qualcomm chip in the phone - built in gps.

The only thing still open for debate is: 1. is there an antenna, and 2. will there ever be a radio upgrade to enable access to the hardware

Nobody took the time to go on ftp and read all you can know about Gps Agps (conventional and qualcomm one ) The qualcomm technologie use Gps and in very bad signal area go to agps that help to be more precise than with just gps. Dont forget that it's not a SIRF 3. Standard Agps in telecom. mean that all the signal come from the cell tower. In the case of qualcomm Agps mean gps + cell tower signal.....
Go for a crash course on the ftp ther is nothing complicate... If everybody go read before asking we will all talk about the same thing cause we are a lot of divergent opinion on that topic in this Forum

And you'll answer definitly your question about anthenna is inthe device or not.....
No need for that space-eating component cause 7500 was design to be smaller and versatil.
I don't think that i know all the truth but i read from data sheet for a very long time.
And all that a say can be read on ftp...
So have good experiment

There's a thread with pictures of Mogul that was taken apart and examined.

the msm7200 and msm7500 allow for the gps to piggy-back off the cell antenna. the kaiser is smaller and has gps.

If I am so ignorant then why most of the advanced users have already ruled out GPS on the device? Maybe I made a mistake and said chip instead of antenna, but that's no reason to call someone ignorant. This is a community where we all try to help each other.

It's just furstrating when a topic keeps coming up when it has already been answered. The Mogul has been opened up and determined that has no GPS capabilities... read the thread for yourself. Does that mean antenna instead of chip, my apologies, I am not a tech person and just try to rely the info posted by others.

Take a look at other phones on that list: 700wx, i930... and those are the ones I know of because I have owned them. They do NOT have GPS on the device. So this article/list must be referring to AGPS.

It's not because I am a moderator, but you better respect other users that have been here longer and contribute to the community without calling others names or insulting them. I'm not saying you don't contribute as a user as well, but that was uncalled for.

We are all human, we can all be wrong. I was merely stating my opinion and posting information that has been determined by other users on this same forum and topic.

Once again, be careful who you try to insult or call names. In this community we respect each other.

another thing up for debate: are you out of your mind? do you like being a member of this site? if the "ignorance" is starting to get to you, then by no means are you forced to read/comment/post on this site. Pibe is a very respected member on this site and you insult everyone by making such a stupid comment. even if he is wrong, or you are wrong does'nt give you the right to call him ignorant.
