Any specifics you could provide on your "fix" for this would be appreciated -- I'm not real familiar with EPST -- I know ##778# will launch EPST, but I don't see anything that looks wrong (of what little I understand in there, though I do have degrees in EE)...
phone > menu > options > services > internet > get settings > start.

This will sync your phone vision info with the sprint met. Shouldn't have any problems.

I was having no problems with the 2.09 ROM. I upgraded to the 2.16 on the 23rd and have had nothing but problems now.

My BT will disconnect from my headset constantly (even while in a call), my Dpad quits working from time to time, the phone just locks up at random, and the memory leaks worse than before.

If I soft reset and close activesync I have about 20MB free if I open up IE and browse a bit and then close it, I am down to around 10MB of RAM and it doesn't come back. My GPS software won't start up because it requires 12MB of free RAM to start.

I want my old ROM back. Does anyone have the 2.09 Update file?

No Problems Here

Hey Peeps,

I wish people would post what they have installed... Simply blaming a ROM Update because your phone is locking up is not acceptable. I suspect that people just hear "Sprint ROM" and think oh, they don't do anything right.. well you have to understand something, Sprint didn't MAKE the ROM.. they just added their crap to it... HTC Put the ROM together.. with Microsoft's software and Licensing. So if you want to blame ANYONE for problems with your phone then it should be HTC or Microsoft. Also has everyone on this Thread forgotten how a computer works? All in all Microsoft Windows (Any Version) is pretty solid. If something does mess up it is usually because of Added Software, Cheap hardware, or poorly written drivers. The problem with microsoft isn't that IT locks up... the problem is that is has a poor ability to recover from Hardware and software errors (eg. Blue Screen of Death).
OK, go ahead and flame me on the Microsoft front... but remember.. a homebuilt $1000 PC is going to run circles around your run of the mill HP, Dell, Whatever.

OK, I was only having one problem with my Mogul... The Bluetooth Sound quality was horrible when playing music to my BT Mono headset with BTAudio. Calls sounded fine.. and I sounded fine to them. That's the only problem I had.

The New ROM upgrade has been great.. I don't have ANY of the problems mentioned throughout this post and my Bluetooth Music Quality is superb.

I haven't had any lockups on my Mogul except for when I installed a program that was fairly old and tried to access hardware that wasn't available (That's bad programming kiddies) Not your ROM. Soft Reset, and uninstalled and everything was fine again.

ANYONE WHO IS USING SPB Anything... I recommend using something else. I have had problems with their software ever since I bought it for my 6700. I loaded it on my Mogul to answer this post.. guess what.. it started locking up every couple hours.. sometimes minutes apart. Uninstalled SPB software and POOF.. my lockups disappeared. Again.. what do we call this? BAD PROGRAMMING! NOT YOUR ROM.

Now I'm not a Fan boy of Sprint.. and I don't want all their SH*T on MY computer... I will never use Music store or the other crap they load up. Don't you know those are for the people that use the phone as-is and never add software or don't know how.

I soft reset my device at the first boot and stopped the installation of the Sprint Crap.

I then installed my essentials:
HTC Home 6 Button
HTC Home Customizer
HTC Task Manager
BTAudio
Live Search
PocketCM

No problems here.

What part of my post earlier in this thread was unclear to you? (Repeated below)

The new ROM is absolutely unusable for me. 3 DSOD's in 4 hours - with NO apps installed, BT not turned on, haven't even made any calls. A clean install, hard reset, soft reset to avoid SprintWare. About as vanilla a test as you can have - and just unusable for me!

Not to sound like an ass, but I actually have tried to duplicate the Dpad problem by turning BT on and letting the phone go to sleep. Turned it back on and used my Dpad to check my voicemail. No problem. Tried it all again. No problem. I work in Denver and live in the mountains. Absolutley crappy reception in my office, EVDO most of the way home, go through a part were everyone and their dog loses cell reception, and have 1 bar of reception inside my house and frequently go between digital roaming, EVDO areas and 1X areas. No lockup... As I mentioned in a previous thread, I did have the WiFi issue when I first did the ROM upgrade a few days ago but after I removed my home network settings and reconnected I haven't had that problem since.
Yes, I realize that I'm probably just lucky and will most likely get flamed for doing something wrong or not doing something wrong, but it is what it is. For me the ROM update worked.

i just read that as well and am hopeful.

i used to work at a sprint store in nj as a retail rep and our tech guy rocked. he actually knew everything my wireless geekness had researched online and was fully aware of sprint's shortcomings and knew his bzness with what us geeks need to know. also most of the retail reps were retarded

this guy sounds like he could be one of those guys. i hope he is.

just reinstalled 2.09 myself.

my mogul actually arrived the same day the 2.16 rom was released on the htc website so i have zero experience with 2.09.

i have NOT been happy at all with 2.16.

if BT is not fixed in 2.16 before my 30 days is up. bye bye mogul.
