Ok, I was in the airport the other day and I saw this guy pull out this funny lookin device. I sat next to him struck up a convo and we ended up checkin each others phones out. He said that he'd heard about the mogul but never actually saw one in person as I did his tilt... the moral of the story is I played around with his tilt for a few mins. did a speed test it took 2 mins to get a 1mb file (and he had full bars) i did the same test when he gave my mogul back it took 9 seconds! (and i had 3 bars) On top of that the tilt is a nice phone it did feel like it was built stronger and more solid than the mogul but it just didnt really impress me! The tilting screen is nice but the keyboard sucks and the AT&T 3g or edge or whatever its called is just too slow!

I prefer the mogul for many reasons:
Sprint coverage and internet is definitely way better than att. All of my friends with att are jealous. Im here in miami so there is cell phone towers all over the place and no mountains for interference. Sprint is extremely fast down here and the coverage is superb. I don't even know how fast it will be with rev a but from what I hear I can't even imagine. I prefer the non-tilting screen because I have to look at the keys a lot. My fingers are too big and I can easily push a wrong key if I try not to look at the keyboard. I can type without looking just fine at home, but the ppc keyboard is small for obvious reasons. I am not complaining at all, I absolutely love the qwerty keyboard. Once sprint/htc get this whole rom/bluetooth/gps issue taken care of then I think a lot of us will really be happy with sprint and the mogul. So... 2x more ram and a tilting monitor just dont justify a switch in my opinion. -Ryan |

The Mogul is a great phone in theory.
But Sprint's poor execution and follow through will cause MANY mogul users to switch to even lesser phones or carriers (although some may go to better phones like the Kaiser). By the time they fix these issues the Mogul won't have nearly the userbase it could have had. |

New mogul owner here. No problems yet, but I am an experienced ppc and smartphone user.
I almost went for the Tilt, it was listed at letstalk.com for $99 after rebates with a data plan. Instead I got SERO. Funny thing is, and this is the point of the post, is that the person I called to get my vzw number proted tried telling me that sprint will have the tilt. Yeah right. I don't see that happening. |

That's something else I told him. Unless HTC makes a CDMA version, you won't see it on VZW or Sprint. Do you actually see sprint bringing out a new competitor for its newest smart phones (mogul/touch)? Which are both satisfying two relatively different smartphone consumer types - serious business users who need a keyboard, vs pocket pc enthusiasts who want a flashy device like the iphone...

Now if your problem is that WM6 on the mogul is unusable, then try the WM5 ROM |
