Re: TF3D Screen Rotation Solved - All Screens!

Usually I don't like my screen to autorotate but I would like to be able to make a particular screen rotate to landscape when I want it to. Is there a way to assign this function to the multimedia button, i.e. when you push the multimedia button, whatever screen is displayed will rotate to landscape?

You can do it with Wisbar Advance. Wisbar has a "Rotate Screen" function which is assignable to the multimedia button.

There are probably other, similar solutions out there.

Re: TF3D Screen Rotation Solved - All Screens!

Guys help. I had to factory reset my phone and for some reason my screen is not rotating 360 degrees. I had it working yesterday with no problem but today after the reset I cannot get it to rotate 360. It's rotating but only 180 right now. Am I missing something? I followed the instructions again with no luck. It did not use changescreen or anything like that yesterday so I know it's something with the phone/registry.

When you added the new registry key did you capitalize exactly as it's shown? Reg keys are often case sensitive or they won't work.

Thanks. I downloaded a trial copy of WA3 and it will rotate the screen. Unfortunately it only rotates in one direction and it opens WA3, thus changing the taskbar et al. In addition, when it rotated the screen, the TF3D interface did not display. Therefore, the reg edits are need not only to autorotate but to display the landscape version of TF3D. I was already pretty sure this would be the case but this confirmed it. Of course this leads to the next issue. Can you make reg edits that allow the landscape display but not the autorotation?

Re: TF3D Screen Rotation Solved - All Screens!

I created a cab install for this and it seems to work as expected on my phone. Try at your own risk. I created the cab using this website: http://triton.homeip.net/RegistryChanger/index.php?a=1 Whoever created this site did some really slick coding.TF3DRotation.cab

Re: TF3D Screen Rotation Solved - All Screens!

I found an odd conflict with this tweak. When I installed the Fennec browser alpha, TF3D would only go to landscape for a moment and then revert to portrait. After a couple days of that, it wouldn't go to landscape at all. Then I uninstalled Fennec, and TF3D is back to normal, rotating without a problem.

This problem occurred whether or not Fennec was active, and successive soft resets did nothing to help. Since Fennec doesn't really work yet, it's no real loss to have to remove it, but I sure hope the final version doesn't do this (and I'm hoping that no other apps cause this problem).

Re: TF3D Screen Rotation Solved - All Screens!

I did this a week or so ago, it works well but now I am sick of it, lol. It rotates too easily for my taste (or usage) so back to the plain "no rotate" for me. Thanks for the post however.

Thank you for this. I don't need it right now, but if I have to do a hard reset in the future, it'll be handy.
