Re: Imagio Battery Life??
The more I've played with the phone the more I think it's a charging issue for me. This time yesterday for instance, I was already down to 70% on the battery, yet today I am still at 100%. I have done about the same amount of stuff, some IMing, e-mails, and a bit of browsing.
Last night I charged the phone for about 2 hours, took it off for a while to use, then charged again. Every time I follow that pattern my battery life is extended significantly. |

Re: Imagio Battery Life??
When at the office you can charge it when not in use and you can charge it while you are driving. That works for me and I usually have plenty of juice all day. If you are away from electricity all day invest in an extra battery and keep in your briefcase. |

Re: Imagio Battery Life??
Having used WinMo for quite a few years now I'm just used to having to charge the phone. I have a charger in my car and when travelling, which I do quite a bit, I keep one with me in my carry on case. There are almost always charging stations in airports now and if I now I'm going to be somewhere where I might need a boost I carry a stand alone charge booster that just plugs into the phone. I have two booster, one a heavy duty one that I plug in to charge, it will fully charge the phone a couple of times if needed. I carry this one in my luggage. I have a small lightweight one that I can carry in my carryon and will charge during a flight or anywhere I am. The second one does carry as much juice but it always charges enough to get me by when I need a boost.

Re: Imagio Battery Life??
I increased my memory ab bit by removing the HTC menu (when you hit start) and the HTC notification manager (when you tap the icons) from startup services. Disabling the phone skin makes Bluetooth behave weird. You can also search for disabling the TV icon and service.
Disabling the HTC start menu and Notification manager just gives you the default Windows notifications and start menu.

Re: Imagio Battery Life??
I've owned phones with relatively poor battery life, but I guess I have been spoiled by my curve. With a full charge on Friday morning, my curve will last into Saturday night/Sunday morning with light to moderate use.
As I said, I really love the Imagio, I think it's a beautiful phone. I don't want to kill the apps that make the phone beautiful, either. I guess a Tour will work until HTC comes out with the next best thing. |

Really we just need better battery technology. The way the trends are going... its bigger screens, faster processors, more features and applications. The limit to all of this is the battery. |

Re: Imagio Battery Life??
Yeah all of the big touch screen phones won't do much better than 1-1.5 days with 1 charge unless you have a big extended battery in them or something. Battery tech is the key no doubt, and it hasn't gotten all that much better in the past 15 years almost. Definitely not keeping pace wit the growing power of the devices anyway.
That being said is it really that big a deal to throw it on the charger at night before bed? Once you get in the routine it's no big deal to me anyway. |

Re: Imagio Battery Life??
BATTERY?!! it'll probably require you to be plugged in at all times lol.. On mine i did the resproxy hack with a registry editor, although there is a cabbed version, but even with that mod the service will still start.. I have not figured out what triggers it but if it starts it slowly trickles the memory usage and consumes more battery. if you look in the registry when you are runnin around 70 percent or more you will notice that the resproxy has shared memory usage, but if you are runnin with only like 45-55ish you will see that the usage is 0. i think it is HKLM\software\htc\resproxy
20 percent jump in usage is alot.. |
